Something’s not right

why can't I cope longer?

why can't I cope longer?

Something's not right alright... Not sure why I'm falling to pieces atm and short of listening ears. Hope someone here can put up with me.

I'm walking in circles at home... well, not literally, just can't seem to stay focused or finish anything... if I can even remember what it is I got out of the chair to do half the time...

And snappy with people, everywhere, rude even (which is so out of character for me), the slightest hint of being 'had' or criticised or misunderstood... oh boy, I just can't keep it in atm. The internal pressure cooker wants to explode & I don't know how to stop it.

I'm at the crossroads in life, moving and deciding if to bother starting again, or just quit on life / die.

And what's scary about that lately, is the thought of it doesn't make me scared anymore - like its just what I'm supposed to do. Do you think God would factor in a premature departure (suicide / depression?) like he accepts other illnesses that separate spirit & body?

Its just those kinds of dark thoughts, but not like crisis level or that, just trying to find my way, or other alternatives, something to look fwd to.... to keep me here. I can't see a future worth living & don't feel the internal resources keep fighting.

Don't tell me to run off & get antidepressants... I'm on them. Or psychotherapy - that's in progress... I think maybe I just want to be heard. Not changedchanged (disapproved of)... just cared about... Is that too much to ask from life? Oh I know God loves me and all that, but I still live on earth...

Do you know what I'm trying to say?Does anyone ever feel this way? I just feel so totally spent - the end of the line... ... ...

My two church supports are away at the moment, not that I lean on them heavy, I'm just conscious there gone...

Ha! Horrible feeling like the only close people in ya life need to take a holiday away from you, well, maybe some of the others I notice they have to deal with more, none the less - feeling abandoned 😞

@Former-Member Sorry about your loss. It always comes as a surprise, we never seem ready for news like that. I hope the headache has eased today. The med costs are a tough call.

Looks like the cold is hanging around the country, the last blast before spring. 💕💜💕

Re: why can't I cope longer?

Hi @Former-Member . My weekend was okay thanks. Pretty quiet, as hubby is away with a friend since Saturday and is away until Wednesday week. I really needed these couple of quieter days after whats been a hectic month.

Anyway, in answer to your question ... yes I am going to spend a week with my Dad from tomorrow. Going by train this time, and wont have to drive. Really wasnt up to driving again, for all sorts of reasons. Anyway it means I have to catch the train tonight, leaving home at 12.30am to catch the train. It gets into my Dads small town at about midday tomorrow. Its a long train trip, but much less stress involved than driving. This visit I will need to go through all my Mums personal effects, as Dad wants it done asap. I guess I can understand his thinking. But its not going to be easy. I have organised for both my sister and my sister in law to be there to go through whatever clothes they may want and also to choose any jewellery they want. She has nothing of any real value however. And most of her clothes, good quality stuff, are too big for me. She has some nice shoes though and I take the same size as Mum. My sister and SIL have bigger feet, so I think I'll get my pick there. Anyway the downside to taking the train is that I have to stay a night in the city on my return journey. But thats still a week away, and I'm trying not to think about that.

Loved all the snow pics you posted here and on the Good Morning thread. Sorry to read that today has not been such a good day for you. Hopefully by now you are feeling a little better though? Are you still planning to visit your son next weekend? Do you have any options other than to drive? I'm lucky that I am on the train route where I live and so too is my Dad. Just unfortunate I have to travel through Sydney, and connections are not great coming back, necessitating an overnighter.

Okay, so I am about to breeze through a few threads now, as I have not been on for the best part of 2 days, and I have lots of notifications to catch up on. Then I am planning on getting a couple of hours sleep before my alarm wakes me up at midnight. It will be a quick change and ready for a taxi I already booked.

Catch you when I can.

Sherry 💜

Hope your headache has gone today @Former-Member

I agree with you - it is so hard having to pay a gap fee when you are struggling and having to go to the gp or get tests done just adds to your visits each week. Hope everything comes back okay for you though Hon.

Really tired tonight so heading to bed but wanted to check in with you first. Hugs

Re: why can't I cope longer?

@Former-Member I forgot to mention that I am very sorry to hear of the sad passing of your ex-BIL on Saturday. It does sound like he was a caring fellow, and I am sad for your loss. I hope your headache has eased. I get what you are saying about having to pay a gap fee for your GP appointments. I used to have to pay a heap, paying something like $90 up front and only getting a medicare rebate of about $37 back. So a big gap. But I now have a health care card, and am bulk billed by my GP now. It makes such a big difference!

Okay gotta go. Just wanted to mention about your BIL. 💔😢

Re: why can't I cope longer?

Oh my goodness @Former-Member - it's all full on for you. I did my mum's room by myself... took me nearly a year to get round to it at Christmas, on my own (but it was surprisingly so much easier than doing my girls room) - for a long time it spooked me just to go into mums room. Kept thinking the whole time "what would she want me to do with this or that.. My dad's dementia made him not care, or notice much, but sounds like your dad will really appreciate your help there. Men can be very 'task' orientated.

Hope your train travel is good, it's a little cross-country for me to donublic to transport to my son but I will double-check what's available. He's in Brizzy. If I drive it's easier to visit ppl & my storage shed there and my girl's resting place... We'll see, you inspire me 💜

Re: why can't I cope longer?

went on a roadtrip in the beautiful sunshine day today... took furbaby... was stoked to see so much snow still around, and the snow-capped mountains... just amazing!

Met a really old lady in a small village cafe, she was having trouble walking up the footpath... puffing hard. I asked her if she was ok and she gasped "I need a drink" So I sat her at my table and had the Cafe girl bring her water. She told me amazing stories about her life and her 4 children bus really surprised me to hear her say Monday is the only day she has free to visit podistrist... "its the day i dont have meetings or something on" she said... 😲 And here I am struggling to take phone calls :face_with_rolling_eyes: What an inspiration she is.

What a lovely interaction you had @Former-Member and so kind of you to help as you did. That is in itself inspirational Hon so whilst you may have seen this lady as an inspiration I am sure she also saw you as the kind and compassionate person you are too - both of you benefitted from your kindness
