Something’s not right

why can't I cope longer?

why can't I cope longer?

Something's not right alright... Not sure why I'm falling to pieces atm and short of listening ears. Hope someone here can put up with me.

I'm walking in circles at home... well, not literally, just can't seem to stay focused or finish anything... if I can even remember what it is I got out of the chair to do half the time...

And snappy with people, everywhere, rude even (which is so out of character for me), the slightest hint of being 'had' or criticised or misunderstood... oh boy, I just can't keep it in atm. The internal pressure cooker wants to explode & I don't know how to stop it.

I'm at the crossroads in life, moving and deciding if to bother starting again, or just quit on life / die.

And what's scary about that lately, is the thought of it doesn't make me scared anymore - like its just what I'm supposed to do. Do you think God would factor in a premature departure (suicide / depression?) like he accepts other illnesses that separate spirit & body?

Its just those kinds of dark thoughts, but not like crisis level or that, just trying to find my way, or other alternatives, something to look fwd to.... to keep me here. I can't see a future worth living & don't feel the internal resources keep fighting.

Don't tell me to run off & get antidepressants... I'm on them. Or psychotherapy - that's in progress... I think maybe I just want to be heard. Not changedchanged (disapproved of)... just cared about... Is that too much to ask from life? Oh I know God loves me and all that, but I still live on earth...

Do you know what I'm trying to say?Does anyone ever feel this way? I just feel so totally spent - the end of the line... ... ...

My two church supports are away at the moment, not that I lean on them heavy, I'm just conscious there gone...

Ha! Horrible feeling like the only close people in ya life need to take a holiday away from you, well, maybe some of the others I notice they have to deal with more, none the less - feeling abandoned 😞

Yes @Adge - sweet little birds, excellent photos. Should it them on the bird thread too, and @tag me 😀 So glad you've added some newbies to you wing family. Is there a bird club where you are? How's the weather up your end?
How do you cope with Father's Day? Without your dad and not having children? Must bring up mixed emotions? Hope you're ok.
@Emelia8, thank you toi. Are you doin' ok? all set for bbq?
This windy weather really unsettling me today. And furbaby too. Almost no sleep last night, but I've got a few things done today.

@Former-MemberYou are right the little things all add up. You get a lot done.

I love the idea of your art outside to cheer up the corrugated fence. On YOU.

I am often overwhelmed and hard to keep up with everyone all the time.

So glad you have support from @Adge and @Emelia8

Was thinking of you the other day on my walk. Spotted 2 birds with spikey hair do.

I tend to think of the regulars on the forums as like a friendly school playground. I add the friendly cos not everyone has good schoolyard memories. I was always starting a new school so used to being alone, but I would interact with all sorts, the clever girls, the sporty ones, those into make up, rather than have set friends. Never anywhere long enough to have real friends, but that feeling is leaving me, which is good. Keep faith with yourself. Dont give up on you, and go gently in this mad mad world.

Re: why can't I cope longer?

Hi @Former-Member I'm glad you liked the Bird pictures.

Yes, sure I will Tag you - if I add anything to the Bird Thread.

Yes there is the Avicultural Society, & various Finch Clubs (I think).

I gave up on the Avicultural Society (decades ago) - they were a bunch of very Grumpy old, snobby men.

I was not worth their talking to (or acknowledging at meetings) - since I did not have Huge Aviaries, with at least 100 Birds (or more).

That may have changed, yet it put a very Sour Taste on my wanting to share my Bird interests.

It's rather ironic, that I've now (probably) kept more types of different birds, than they ever did.

Plus I've bred some tricky ones, on occasion (mostly luck or Blessings).

The Weather here is heating up fast (as it always does in Spring) - there is very little in-between.

Before we know it, it's Bang 40C + Hot Hot Hot...

Very Windy today, I might get blown away.

Father's Day seems to have added itself to my Growing List of Triggers (getting Bigger).

I always always wanted to have children (to be a Dad) - so feeling totally left out (not a Dad) on Father's Day is very sad.

Then I think of my Dad, & I cannot wish him a Happy Father's Day (because he's Gone) - so that is rather miserable.

Anyway, I still think kind thoughts of Dad - he was volatile, very angry, & scared the ..... out of us, when we were children.

Yet he changed a lot, especially in his last few years - he was actually very kind-hearted & caring, very thoughtful.

Although he still had a lot of trouble with acknowledging or expressing feelings - a lot of older men do.

I hope you had a good day - You too @Emelia8

Love seeing the photos of the birds you love @Adge

@Former-Member I have very little to contribute at the moment anywhere but wanted you to know I was thinking about you

Re: why can't I cope longer?

Hi @Former-Member ... BBQ was last night, and yes it all went well. The weather was perfect and we just had an outdoor gas heater on to keep the chill off. Lamb cutlets, sausages, baby potatos, corn on the cob and a couple of different salads. Nice.

Today my stepdaughter shouted lunch at a restaurant in town. Italian restaurant looking out to the ocean, which was very nice. Only trouble being that its a 45min drive for us, and so I had to stick with water for drinks.

Oh your weather doesnt sound too good today, with the wind. I am like you ... strong winds unsettle me as well. Sad to hear you got barely any sleep last night. I'm with you on that one. But well dont on getting a few things ticked off your to-do list regardless.

@Adge- Your dad sounds a bit like mine in many respects. My Dad was terrifying to me as a kid, because he had a shocking temper, very volatile and regularly drank too much. He and my Mum used to argue a lot and I would be sent to my room, but could still hear the arguments and see the damage done afterwards. But my Dad is essentially a good man, and a gentle man when not drunk. I guess its a sign of the times where men never expressed their feelings. It was considered a show of weakness to the older generations. A sad reflection on society, but unfortunately true.

@Appleblossom... Its nice how you think of your forum regulars. Actually I also started schools very regularly when I was younger. I worked out once that I changed schools 11 times over the 13 years of schooling. And thats quite a bit, especially when you reach high school years I think. It is definitely a deterent to developing close friendships. Like you, I tended to mix with all sorts, and rarely had what I would call a good friend. The only rare time I did, they died young of various causes.

I'm glad you are able to do your walks still. The two birds you spotted with the spikey hair do's sound kinda fun. Do you know what they were?

At lunch today I was watching a sea hawk fishing for his dinner in the ocean. They must have fantastic eyesight, being able to spot fish from so high up. But he came up with the goods. Fascinating really.

@Zoe7... kind thoughts to you.

Emelia 🌸

Re: why can't I cope longer?

That is a lot of schools too @Emelia8

@Former-Member and @Adge are the biggest birders on here. Adge its funny how people get snobbish and particular about their own fields of interest. Happens in music a lot ... sigh ... Sorry you were hurt, but its really their loss. We got you here.

Realising that there is a big bird theme today on the forums. I was on the website trying to figure out what those birds were, but ended up sharing about crows and ravens. Think I saw a little raven the other day, it was on its own and seemed heavier than a crow ... maybe ... I dunno. Still working on the spikey guyz.

Hi @Appleblossom, long time no see. Hope you're ok. Time helps. Yes, I'm pleased with the wall art idea, the colour on the high corrugated fence (only 3m from unit), creating something nice to look at instead of feeling so closed in. I get overwhelmed and find it hard to keep up here. Can't seem to handle the pain (especially the detail) of others these days 😢 Use to wanna help so much :face_with_rolling_eyes:
Yes, Adge and Emelia8 have been kind. That's sweet you think of me, randomly through your days. I do the same with so many of you guys here, nearly every day. Kinda weird since never met. "friendly schoolyard" is a nice way to put it. Licorice Allsorts 🍬 lol. I never had close friends at school either. Its hard not to feel bullied over and over even when it's not there anymore ( 🤔?) Inherited trauma plays a part in this too sadly. My son often complains I dragged him through too many schools. Pitty I never felt that belonging most take for granted. I had same school + same street growing up... still never had 'real' friends. Dearest mother couldn't have that 😔 whatever... most parents are just doing their best, in a broken world - could it ever be good enough? Breaks our heart the mistakes we made. We all have our childhood to overcome... the disappointment of an imperfect world imposed on perfect little souls 😢
Yes, I know
"Keep faith"
"Dont give up" ... ...
"Go gently...
Bit hard these days, but i'm trying

Thanks Apple

Hi @Zoe7 - thanks for popping by. Nice to see you. I understand 💙
@Emelia, glad the BBQ went well, sounds yum! you're so good with your stepkidz. Sounds mutual re Italian dinner 😋 You could always catch up on 🥂drinks at home.
My boy dropped in yesterday after his dad thing.

Windy weather here again today. I caught up on sleep last night, finally slept in my bedroom (after 2months) and discovered it is better :face_with_rolling_eyes: in so many ways. Are You sleeping better?
