Living with Ourselves

Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

Re: Living with Ourselves

Wow @Sophia1 That looks very lavish & impressive.

Even I wouldn't mind a little splash in that pool...

Re: Living with Ourselves

The 2nd one is impressive too.

I think I'll go for the first pool @Sophia1

I took a client in wheelchair into pool for 1 hour yesterday.

He can stand & walk well, to get out of chair, & down the steps.

Re: Living with Ourselves

I have to agree....the first one is my favourite also....although either would be wonderful...

That would be such a momentous feeling for anyone confined to a wheelchair....to suddenly have the experience of buoyancy in the water....escape from the refinement for an hour....

I know that you have had some dreadful experiences with your job....I am sure that there are some memorable..rewarding ones as well...

I am off to watch a comedy for some distraction ....

take care

welcome to join us @Shaz51

everyone has their own exercises and own pace....

I checked my drafts again for that response that I had written to you and definitely not there...

I seriously do not know what I do when I lose things on the computer....no matter...

I shall get around to replying when in a better frame of mind...

hope that you and Mr Shaz have a restful weekend...some smiling moments thrown in....xxx

@Sophia1

I suppose it's not just about living with ourselves. It's also about living with others. Would you agree? I say this... Because, I figure there's only so long we can be on our own... Before we have to face other people...

Re: Living with Ourselves

I love the pool @Sophia1 - looks so quiet and inviting - I don't think I would ever get out of that one if it was in my backyard!

I have been looking at pools closer to my house today - most are too busy or too expensive - I have to weigh up the costs of travel as well as the membership fees for a couple that are a little further out but seem a lot quieter. I do like the pool that I am going to for hydrotherapy but there is someone there that runs the learn to swim program that is a problem for me - I did not expect this person to be there - definitely was a shock and the times I will be able to go are during the day are when they will be there so the search may have to continue a bit more.

Glad to hear you have done a little drawing - I would love to see what you have produced but I understand if you don't feel like you can share the caricatures here

Over thinking is something I do a lot too and it usually is never as bad as I think something will be but that doesn't stop my mind racing ahead at the worst possible scenario - I suppose this is learnt behaviour from so many things that have happened over my life time that I had no control over - part of MI also!

I gave Toby a good talking to after he ran off - grabbed him and wouldn't put him down actually - was more worried about a car coming around the corner and hitting him more than myself - you could say I was protecting my little buddy rather than the other way around in this instance. I couldn't imagine anything happening to him - that would totally destroy me. But he is okay and it just means a setback for my back to heal a little and become stronger - and I am back on pain meds to get through the day and not just the night - that is not something I wanted to do as I don't want to get more reliant on them but I need to in the short term to help me get through the day. Hopefully tomorrow it has settled a little more and I won't need them again - have to wait and see.

I hope you are taking care of yourself and not being so hard on yourself - I know that is not always easy to do but that is my wish for you.
