Living with Ourselves

Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

Hello @TAB

I brought my reply to you over here as do not want to leave essays on brief catch up threads.

My style of writing.

Tis moi

This is my safe place. Might sound weird. Again is what it is. Tis moi.

So without further ado

Responding more from good morning

You have achieved so much.

I am so very pleased for you as you struggled since from when I first met you on here, with work and living arrangements. This does take it's toll.

Organising all of those work projects and home improvements is a credit to you.

I hope that you have the feeling of being at home...

your home

sooner than later..

Hopefully you will have some friendly, reliable people within your new community.

Take care

Sophia1

ps If I have managed to totally confuse you; apologies.

Struggling explaining myself still.

Remnants of post concussion which mess with my language part of my brain have been exacerbated again with Covid.

Have been out of action for nearly 6 weeks.

Keep me uptodate with your new adventures in home...garden...community and where life takes you next.

Hello @Jacques

Thank you for your warm; encouraging response that you wrote on 30th June to me. I have just read.

Here waiting for me on my return today.

I do feel rather like a fish in a fish bowl being back on here.

I am writing to those who have written to me and will also do more reading; researching and observing rather than throwing up my problems so to speak.

I would love to still continue our connection if you so wish.

I can't wait to hear about where you are at with that beautifully restored bike.

Write when you can and about what you want.

Bye for now

Please take care

Sophia

Big hug

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hello @tonys

I can't find you anywhere.

That is no surprise really as I feel quite lost on here.

My first day back...

I wrote to Jacques that I feel somewhat like a fish in a fishbowl.

I hope that your rehabilitation is progressing and that you are feeling more of Tonys is back.

I found out that you had been in hospital just before I went away.

I am not aware of what happened though.

I know that you were also preparing to train new managers of your farm.

You had a move at some time to the coast with your cousin and lovely friend Bookkeeper.

I do hope that life is being far kinder to you than it has been in the past.

I am fully aware of long term rehabilitation after surgery and the toll it takes on the whole body...... energy.....; mind.....; moods.....; tolerance.....; exasperation and so much more.

Determination and persistence will serve you well..... They were my help.

Let's not forget one of the best helpers of all times.......our sense of humour.....

I truly hope that life is rewarding you and you are where you want to be in life.

Do not feel the need to respond to my message to you......should you still be receiving notifications.

Come back to the forums in your time when and if you are ready to.

They will be rather overwhelming at first.

Hospital followed by rehabilitation etc etc is a cocoon of sorts and we are somewhat sheltered from the predicaments and needs of others...........This is vital for our own recovery.

I know Tonys will want to be helping all of his friends and leaving those beautiful trails of prose.......... in the special way that is Tonys

I am hoping that Bookkeeper is reading this epic piece and not yourself.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there for Tonys..... Bookkeeper..... as I know that he was there for you without knowing any of your story.

Wherever your life takes you next.... you have left the sprinklings from moonbase within my heart Tonys.

ps

Hello cows....profuse apologies I cannot for the life of me remember your names.

Yes, yes

I am finishing now.

Sophia................who adopted one of your cows

big hugs to you and Bookkeeper

Re: Living with Ourselves

Dear @Jacques

I have just read back my response to you and am now worried about how it might read.

Nothing has changed ....I constantly have to check if I have upset or offended someone.

I realise now at this stage of my life that I am very different as this happens to me all the time in real life.

We must not change who we are this I now know.

I am making an effort to make sure that I do not upset or offend those who are important to me.

You are one of those people.

observing rather than throwing up my problems so to speak

The above was in reference to myself only.

I am here to support you in any way that you need should you want to reach out.

I will be guided by your words to me.

You already support me and thank you

Sophia

im not sure what photos i have shown you but i took this one yesterday as i had to take the motorbike out for a pest inspection.

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hello @Jacques

A lovely reply.

I am all over the place getting over Covid and post concussion rearing it's ugly head. They are not friendly with mental health vulnerability I have discovered.

Yes beautiful friends can be hard to keep. I have been betrayed too many times and struggle to trust these days.

I never feel that with you Jacques.

Your vibes come through so strongly as sincere and very caring.

Your bike I had seen a picture months ago when I mentioned about getting a glass enclosure to preserve it. I think that I read that you were not happy with the paintwork.

It looks like it sparkles even more now.

I seriously hope that you are very proud of yourself. You have to be. Incredible work.

Now after all the other restoring around the house you are renovating the kitchen. I remember now that it was in your plans. You are halfway there. Well done.

You use your energy well following through with your goals as well as your love of bikes.

I imagine that your mum is very excited.

Please keep in touch even if I am not on here too often.

I am still the fish swimming in circles in the fishbowl

big hugs

Sophia

Hello @StuF @Oaktree @outlander @TAB @Shaz51 @Emelia8 @Thyme and any others who have hit the support button or left a message

I will get back to you all.

I only have enough energy to respond to one or two and am worn out then.

Easing my way back in slowly, carefully.

Please be patient with me
