Living with Ourselves

Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

Re: Living with Ourselves

Well you just taught me something @Sophia1 I had no idea that Phantom of the Opera could be powerful & loud enough - To block out intrusive Noise-makers....

I usually use ACDC, Kiss & Cold Chisel (Jimmy Barnes) for that purpose - except Inside the house, not outside.

@Adge

My theory is play the opposite to what they are playing..

Of course play inside what you want to hear..

I happen to love phantom of the opera have the double CD

Many people do not though..

.if they are not civil and considerate enough to turn it down let alone have it up so loud in the first place..

I do remember reading about this some time ago...so this has been an issue for some time..

It is not my habit to play loud music outside to annoy neighbours .....

Sometimes you can reach them by speaking in their language

good luck..

Re: Living with Ourselves

hi my mum @Appleblossom it is ok to just listen, i can always feel your thoughts and care when i come onto the forums. glad you are getting some sleep, me and my partner are really struggling of late with sleep, mainly panic asttacks.

oh that sounds beautiful @Sophia1 5 achers is just a good amount, im sorry you moved. umm there are a small flock of sheep and a herd of cattle, maybe 6 cattle, it is not big maybe 3 achers but it helps me get through each day.

yes i need to cover up when i go out, i love the face masks because people cant recognise me. it gives me a sense of protection, it probably sounds silly.

it is nice to get out to the shed even if it is for an hour or two, just a change of scenery.

been quiet here this weekend, i have a headache tonight as i had to go to town to get some hardware supplies. it was so busy and we are meant to be in lockdown.

anyway hugs my friend, i hope today has treated you well.

Hello @Jacques

Sorry to say that this will be a brief reply

I am very saddened to hear that both yourself and your girlfriend are experiencing panic attacks on top of not sleeping which would increase the anxiety levels.
I hope that you have some prn to use during hardest times.
I am still not at my best so better for me not totes and write.
Look forward to still keeping up our connection though

Hearing from my friends on the forums still helps eve if only reading at present...

At the same time look after both of you also..

your friend Sophia sending hugs for you both.

@Sophia1

As you need ...

@Jacques

That is telling about feeling protection with the mask.

Also says something maybe about the level of stigma in your town.

When I was a chorister in special church for 7 years, we had to wear robes covering from neck, to wrist to ground. The others would grumble about them being hot or this and that ... but I always felt good and safer in them and free from all the worries and concerns about dressing up and having the right clothes, which is a big deal as a woman. I remember saying so, but nobody could relate.
