Living with Ourselves

Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

Re: Living with Ourselves

hello @Anastasia

sounds very wise and philosophical............

something that I struggle with on a daily basis though............

I think that if you start off in life as in a young child that way it becomes a part of who you are.

Hope that your situation is manageable and that you have enough support for all of you.

love Sophia xx

How are you @outlander ?

It must be years since we have spoken...

I feel sad that I have not been well enough to talk to you and others with whom I engaged so often.

Tell me about you 💜

Re: Living with Ourselves

Thank you @outlander @HenryX @Emelia8 @Anastasia

for your support.

I now feel like a hamster on the everturning wheel.

Questioning myself about why I even bother to write about my feelings.

This always ends up in my self-loathing myself. Past programming.

If this was someone else writing these words, I would be offering a compassionate response. Suggesting that they not be so hard on themselves. If we are trying, that is what life is about really.

Yet when it comes to me who has ingrained in her that she is so difficult and different, applying the above is nigh impossible.

I do try to tell myself and on many occasions feel worse as I realise what I am doing. Seriously, I know that I am applying empathy to myself that I give to others.

Therefore, not spontaneous, thought out, just not the same.

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hello @Sophia1 , @outlander , @Anastasia , @Emelia8

Thank you Sophia1 for your reference and tag on the "Worry Room ...." thread.

I had seen a reference to tonight's chat by @MDT earlier this evening, but thought that it might have been a mix-up Tues<>Thur. However It seems that my assumption was incorrect. Like you, I may have found it by chance, but there was no title that I could see. And I had other things on my mind.

I would be happy to see if I can work out what that "Authentication Ticket ...."problem might be if no-one else offers a satisfactory solution.

It is frustrating when we want to join a specific chat and cannot access the session. So I do understand your aggravation.

Best Wishes

HenryX

Re: Living with Ourselves

@Sophia1 it can be really hard to show ourselves the same empathy and compassion that we show others or when we do show ourselves this care it doesnt feel the same. it can be a weird feeling i find.

Re: Living with Ourselves

@outlander

you mentioned dealing with different diagnoses.

Do you want to talk about dealing with this and how you are managing.

I know that we have not spoken for some time now and just because I am here now in this moment asking does not justify or come with any expectations of you opening up to me.

I am here now still caring about you as I did in the past.

I have just been away for a while as I really was struggling with all of what life decided to pile on top of me along with what I had already been trying to cope with.

I am no longer sure of your family situation and do not want to ask anything as I do not want to offend or upset you.
