Living with Ourselves

Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

Re: Living with Ourselves

i know you care @Sophia1 ive never doubted that

has the challanges eased abit for you? would it help to talk about how your coping atm or anything thats causing you worry?

well in the last few months ive been diagnosed with 2 permanently damaged nerves in face (from the dental extractions i had) i also have nerve damage in my neck and part of my back muscle but no confirmed name as i dont really want to go through so much testing for that. i also had to undergo some testing as i was quite unwell which turns out im allergic to quite a few things and still might be more (waiting to see allergenist) and have been seing a gynae for pcos and endo diagnosis/treatments etc so i can get diagnoses.

Re: Living with Ourselves

Thank you @HenryX

Yes I have to say that somewhere in the back of my mine I remember Tuesdays being the special event, or guest speaker, or some other title.

As I mentioned, I only came across it by chance.

I was actually quite pleased with myself because I read other information on the same page that has also changed.

I had a fleeting moment of ooh I am feeling better; my confused mind is starting to clear and I have discovered something that I am interested in.

Hmm..........

Perhaps I should have stopped there and just "enjoyed the moment" as they say.

Seriously, computers and I are not friends. That is reality.

I might suggest that they have a section where we can write letters, what do you think @HenryX @Emelia8 @outlander @Anastasia @Adge @TAB @Appleblossom @Exoplanet @Margherita @Zoe7 @oceangirl @Former-Member @Clawde @MDT (have you changed your user name? or is it me?) @Maggie @BlueBay @Owlunar ?

I might start a thread and see if anyone writes back...........

Yep @The_Hams is "guess who's" new user name.

Replying to a few posts back ...

loved that you wrote

thinking should be banned.

Words can get us out of thorny situations and get us into them.

I am more verbal than visual but try and consiously balance it out and post art

cos it is one of the best ways to calm my farm ... so to speak ...

Grapes are Great

You tagged me on the other thread about arial photos. It is one of the things that is amazing about the internet and satellites and all that ....

when I was in year 12 at night school I did a science project where I needed to go to special govt office and purchase B&W arial photos over 50 years

it really gave me an insight about .... "What the sky saw"

Good to see you

Re: Living with Ourselves

Dear @outlander

Thank you for offering to listen to latest issues, past , present, ongoing. I actually am in time out mode. Stepping away tonight, knowing that they are quite safe and will still be there tomorrow.

My goodness nerve damage from dental extractions. Are the dental practice listening and offering assistance?

Neck? connection with dental extraction?

Back muscle also. Is that in the area near your neck?

I hope that you have someone assisting you in obtaining detailed information and answers.

Have you any ideas yourself? in particular to neck and back?

Allergies can be troublesome also. I have none myself. My younger son does.

I also had endo issues along with twin. We both had children.

I had a quick read as I had not heard of pcos; probably not known of when I was young. I would say that pain was extreme for long periods of time and cycle more often 4-5 weekly due to length of each cycle.

Waiting for specialist appointments, diagnoses and so on can be more stressful than conditions themselves.

I just want to say please do not focus on the worst and do not ask doctor google.

Take care

I will try to visit you more often. If I don't this does not mean that I am not thinking of you.

love Sophia 💜

Re: Living with Ourselves

love that photograph @Appleblossom

That is definitely something that would hang on one of my walls.

I refer to portraits like these as story tellers across the years.

Beautiful.

You certainly led a different life to me where I travelled a lot at a young age.

A very interesting project to research arial photographs over a 50 year period.

Are they displayed in a museum somewhere or published in a book that you know of?

I seem to have visual and verbal. When I cannot find something or husband asks as he never looks himself, I go back into the visual part of my mind and can see where last used or placed. Fascinating really.

Good to talk to you also @Appleblossom

I have read over some of your responses over the years since we first met 5 or 6 years ago and can see that you have much more self-belief and pride. This pleases me greatly as I am on a very similar journey. I just need to get out of the dissociating, foggy, confused states of mind.

This will come.

I have been working on this at the same time that life (as it does) has been throwing other challenges in my way.

I am making progress.

I shall look out for you

Sophia 💜

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hello @Emelia8

You have not been far from my mind.

Can I talk to you briefly here or would you prefer on another thread which I can never remember the name of?

Perhaps you might also only want to acknowledge your presence and that you have read my words which is lovely in itself.

Words are hard to come by at times like these.

I also cannot remember your family situation and am hoping that you are all there for each other in ways that you all choose.

I am here silently, even though not verbally.

No essays to have to plod through.

I hope that you have some special moments in the garden, a special area where you can go and let go of your breath and just be. Sounds simple but can be far from.

I am going to look for a garden setting to share with you. You can if you want to look at the setting and imagine that all of your friends on here are dropping in to give you a hug, let you know how much you mean to us and that we care about how you are.

Re: Living with Ourselves

Thats a great idea for a thread @Sophia1 please tag me too if you make it 🙂

Thats ok, anytime you need to talk, vent or just need some company im here for you and only a tag away so don't hesitate to reach out for whatever you might need 💜

Its taken me over a year for someone to listen about these pains but i at least have thr diagnosis. The dental team who done the extractions wont take responsibility (actualy the blame me because 'i knew the risks' and because i signed that paper that said i knew the risks they are covered so cant do anything about it. Ive changed dentists now who seem much better so far.
The nerves in my neck are from my more serious horse riding accident a few years ago. Basically because my system is so sensitive already as soon as i tense up or work or do anything it basically can cause a flare up of the nerves within the neck and the trapezius muscles on the right side. I had a very bad whiplash injury from the fall that hasnt really recovered basically.

Yeah the allergies are hard eap since 2 of them in particular are in well everything it seems and are 2 of the main food groups.
I sorry you had to sufer so much too. Life with pain can be tough!
