Living with Ourselves

hello @eudemonism @eth @outlander @Bunniekins @Mazarita @Silenus @NameUnknown @Grasshopper3 @patientpatient @soul @Former-Member @Determined @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Friendconnect @Teej @utopia @Queenie @Appleblossom @Zam @perseverer @Janna @Owlunar @Former-Member @Former-Member

First of all I wanted to let you know that I have conversed with all of you at some stage on both sides of the forum..

It was my intention to close two of my threads and change my name in the kindest way for all of you...

I commenced this process on the 12th March and today is the first day that I have access to actually post or respond to anyone....I was in the last couple of days able to register a new name and like some posts...

I am so sorry that my profile ended so abruptly that was definitely not my intention....

In fact if I had done it my way.. instead of thinking would be better to be guided through the process....I would have just written on one of my threads my reason for closing my account tagging you all in....then requested account to be closed and username put to bed so to speak

I have chosen to take this path in order to protect my family's sense of safety .. privacy...health..

Please let me reassure you that this has nothing to do with any members on here...

I have tagged each and everyone of you because you have given me support and invited me into a little of your worlds...priceless experiences...I have felt heard and valued on here....Thank you all so much..

Moving forward ...this is who I am now and hope to be able to converse on the forum living in the now not the past...therefore no mention of my previous username necessary...

If you do not know who I am...that is fine also...perhaps all of the above is not relevant for you..

take care

Things steadyish with us, Mr D will need to change meds as he has reached a monitoring threshold, not looking forward to what delights are going to be on offer or the change over period.

hello @Former-Member

mr Darcy changing meds is that as needing less medicating? ....improvement in his overall mood and managing better for himself?

change of meds is frightening for all of us as we face the prospect of new side effects...out of our control effects...

hopefully the specialist monitoring will reduce gradually allowing time in between slowly introducing new medication...on the alert for side effects as a result of reduction of existing medication and side effects in any new medication....

I know that you play a very strong part in being aware of everything about his care....sharing this with mr Darcy will certainly help him feel safer and more trusting of change....being there for him as you have has helped him so much..

hard for you as well experiencing the unknown....if not done in a rush...you will play a huge part in the best outcome for him...

thank you for sharing and please let me know how things are if you feel up to it....

the odd joke will certainly help as I do so relate to your humour...xxx

hello @Zoe7

yes enjoyed those very light hearted moments....almost euphoric for my state of mind at the time....

you are doing well....I can read a lighter tone in your reply....you have come a long way....I think also that you have learnt self care and when to step back ....look after zoe....such an important step forward...often the one of the hardest for those of us who are so passionate about helping others..

I find positives in the most simplest of things these days...this also helps me in being more in touch with my spiritual side...I had lost it along the way at some stage...

I am sure that we will have a tag team moment/moments again and again as we both evolve into the people we genuinely are...

you are a butterfly after all xxxx

Re: Living with Ourselves

@Sophia1 - I struggled with sleep as well. Due in part to being on the electronics far to late into the night. It really does affect our ability to sleep.
The sun is shining here in country Victoria. Strong wind. But warm enough. Looks like a beautiful day.

Re: Living with Ourselves

I am certainly at a much different place than I was even a month ago @Sophia1 I am 'giving in' more to the days I cannot do anything and rather than being totally frustrated by it - I am simply resting and letting the day 'happen' around me. I still feel the frustrations on nice days like today but there is nothing more I can do when I am feeling so tired. Maybe by this afternoon I can do a little housework but I am not putting any pressure on myself - it will still be there tomorrow lol

Lighter moments can be more therapeutic than talking about our MH at times - especially when sharing them with people that have the same/similar sense of humour as us - I love sharing those moments with you

Re: Living with Ourselves

Hello @Sophia1 thinking of you and sending warm wishes. I only just saw your tag from yesterday and am glad to see you have lots of support here. I'm sorry but I'm struggling today with news I had yesterday and am not up to typing it all again. It's on the 'Anyone started with the NDIS?' thread if you're interested.
Hope today is one of the better ones for you. Having house inspections on top of your recovery must be so stressful. Take care xx

Hi @Sophia1 - thank you for your beautiful post and kind supportive words. We were just today told that my close friend has not long left for this world - your post really meant a lot. I hope with each passing day you find more strength and healing. Thinking of you 🌹
