Welcome and getting started

Isolating

Isolating

Hello.

new here and learning the ropes. I’m 75 finding it harder than ever to meet people that I can relate to.

I probably have CPTSD but definitely have depression and anxiety all my life.

I’m feeling extremely lonely. My only family are my three children and the youngest has recently stopped talking to me for the first time in 34 years. The others are busy.

Last month I went on a trip overseas. It’s had a huge impact on me in so many ways. It’s the first time I’ve been away in many years and I was very anxious about going and now that I’m back, I’m getting more and more depressed.

I also get stressed with online stuff.

Re: Isolating

Hi there to Lexie and all.

Can l ask Lexie what was it about coming back from your trip ?

Sorry if l've missed it.

l ask that one bc l'd just gotten back from vanning 13 mths but as nice as that was unfortunately nothing else much changed.

And now l've just gotten back from another mth away buttt, kinda thinking l'd had enough so headed back last wk.

Back is just a small cabin on 1/2 ac my ex and l bought 18yrs ago as an investment never to live there but as it turns out now it's probably gonna have to be home from here due to finances and a loss on my last place.

lt's either do something here or try to sell- very regional, and find something closer in but doubt even if l could sell it'd get me anything better and so l'm deciding as we speak on whether to extend a bit and just stay and to hell with it.

But l've had depression to last 15yrs or so and unfortunately this tiny town doesn't help either does the loneliness l feel here.

l grew up n Melb myself and left in 30s, nearly 60s now but this area wasn't quite what l had in mind later in life tell ya.

ls it an area problem for you or deeper than that ? Regrets on settling there for whatever reason or ?

Actually if you feel like it be interested n hearing more anyway but no prob if not.

Meanwhile you and everyone else take care of yourselves.

mr.

Re: Isolating

Hi there, sending you a big hug. Sometimes there can be misunderstandings with family. Do you have any pets or grandchildren?
