Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

This is a little project I did earlier this week, inspired by @Faith-and-Hope on one of the art threads, also @Appleblossom and Sherry, and some others on the Carers side.

The story "reads" left to right line by line as you would a book.

Some will "get it" some probably won't but nonetheless, it depicts my "black hole" story and everything in it is chosen or placed deliberately. It's supposed to be a side by side trilogy but in this format it's the three sequential pages so the pics in the collage can be seen.

It's a little scary posting it because it means something to me but well here it is anyhow.

Re: Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

@Former-Member Suppose I better call it a night too. I think I may have a headache in the morning. Can't thank you enough for your time and advice. It has given me some clarity and validated my feelings. Better look on eBay for those Babushka dolls. Might need to get me a whole crate full.

@soul so which country was he diagnosed in? the USA perhaps?

Re: Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

hahah @soul a crate of them.. yep... I think those ones are only a fraction of the ones I've dealt with to be honest.... .

Anyhow... first you need to establish if he was namipulative... when you feel strong... read some of the Dr Simon stuff... see if it rings true or not. If it does or doesn't you will know one way or the other on that at least.

Re: Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

He got a BP diagnosis in Australia after he was arrested and imprisoned after a serious assault on me. A neighbour who I had never met called the police and he was charged. I didn't file charges against him. After serving time which we appealed and had shortened, he was deported as he wasn't an Australian citizen. That's why we were overseas. I stood by him the whole time. He attempted to get treatment but it was haphazard because of the standard available and his reluctance. The assaults continued and now I have come home for good.

@Former-Member ... Listen to me.. NOBODY nobody would think you are like our partners.... get that out of your head right now. There is NO way, I could have a rational conversation or exchange like this with him. You are 100000 times (literally) more self aware than he is/was, you are caring (he certainly wasn't) you are not seflish in any way shape or form (he was totally self absorbed) he only, ONLY ever thought of himself, you pretty much only think of others.

There is NO way you are anything, remotely, similar to him not with even one photon, let along atom of your body. You are no way, not even close to what he was like. NO WAY!!!! So if you think you could ever be tarred by his brush.. you could NEVER be. Do you get that? you are NOT like my partner was AT ALL!

Re: Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

I do not understand that @soul you need to research.. and find out for yourself if he actually fits the diagnosis.. and start looking at other cluster B options... and decide for yourself. Maybe he is, I don;t know him.. but I suggest you do it because you might find things that help you with it. LIke I said.. start with the manipulative behaviour.. if he doesn't fit that.. then maybe he does have the right diagnosis.

Anyhow.. you go sleeping.. and I hope you can rest. I know your head is probably full of working the good/bad thing out... resovling that.. because that is a very all consuming thing until you resolve it. You take care.. and know it isn't your fault, and there's nothing you could have done. That was on him, not you.

Re: Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

@Former-Member - I'm sure almost everything that was in that story (Aria) was also said about me. There is no evidence of anything except me having MI. And now my MI is ruining what is left of my life. Again, against my better judgment I have entered a conversation that literally has trigger written all over it. Again I didn't listen to myself. How could I possibly engage in a conversation with people who suffered abuse by someone diagnosed as having BPD, as someone once diagnosed with BPD which was given because of abuse? I mean, really, could I get anymore silly?

Re: Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

No.... @Former-Member No.. because she was like me ex... and all over the net you will find people who know she is not BPD. Who totally reject it. So no, you are wrong about that. She was exactly like my ex.. you are nothing like that.. you have that very wrong. That isn't right, get that out of your head too, that is wrong. If you looked at it, you would see that for yourself, clearly.

Not at all @Former-Member. No.. not at all. You have that wrong. I don't use that word wrong often, but on that, you are wrong. you are not like that and nobody would suggest it.

@Former-Member see .. see how destructive that stupid label is? See why I hate it. Don't define yourself by a lable. please don't define yourself by a stupid nonsense label. You are not a label. You are you. F$#K the label. It's Bullshiiiite dogpoop. PLEASE.

Re: Tooky History: Clipart but potentially triggering

It's so easy to say that though and another to actually do it. I don't have that label. It lingers though. It is written in my history. It will appear again when I go and see a psychiatrist @Former-Member.

I want to tell you something that has been eating me, because i think it will help you see why it's so easy to go to it. My 'plan' included a call from a health professional each week while I am struggling. Week two. I am struggling. My plan included that if I was struggling, I was to text health professional. No call. No answer to text. Lucky the text wasn't important hey? (it wasn't what it could have been, but at the end of the day health professional knows 'that' text will never be what it appears anyway). I am seriously peeved. Like really peeved. I express that and I feel like I am in trouble.
