~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

@SmilingGecko thankyou for your beautiful post ❤️. I'm in alot of pain today, I have a severe tooth infection that's affecting the whole left side of my face. I've been laying on my lounge with my wheat bag on my face trying to sleep just so that I don't feel the pain (I'm safe). I have a very high pain tolerance but this is bringing me to tears and causing me to lose focus.

@Icaruslanded thankyou so much for this, it's definitely something I'll try if I can find a moment that has been positive enough. Today I'm in far too much pain from a severe tooth infection to be able to give it a go (I'm safe).

Hello @Cuddlebear I saw a consumer advocate who had anhedonia once I think its the same thing the inability to feel pleasure. That is certainly a difficult combo with depression. I'm sorry you have to manage those deficits. I cant imagine how hard it is for you. It must be really difficult living with it. I'm sorry I did not get back to you straight away had an urgent matter. I think I'll wind down for now. I hope you will be ok. Keep reaching out we are here for you! I'll be online tomorrow. I hope you can get through the night ok. Life can be intense. Please take good care of YOU! ♥️

Will you be ok @MissGremlin you sound like things are taking their toll and really getting to you. Tooth infection is no good. I dont know how we keep going, but we do! I used to use a Teeth Regeneration audio off you tube which stopped the pain associated with enamel coming off. I was in so much pain I could not sleep. The audio fixed it beautifully. Are you going to a dentist though? You need to see a dentist, love. Maybe the audio might settle things a bit I read in the comments people were getting relief from pain associated with tooth infection. Do you want the link? Your call Miss G

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

@SmilingGecko everything combined is really taking a huge toll. Just feeling like I can't catch a break (I'm safe). I can't afford the surgery needed to have them out, I've already had a dentist appointment but the surgery costs just over $300 as I have to go under for them. I've just been taking pain relief regularly at the moment, trying to keep on top of it. It starts getting unbearable as soon as it begins to wear off. I struggle to listen to any audio other than my music as it just frustrates me, thankyou though sweet.

OMG @MissGremlin I hope you will be ok. I'm struggling to stay on top of my bills. Just paid off my credit card and more expenses. I have a Moon Dasa in vedic astrology at the moment which means I will have outgoings the next 12 months or so. I use a free vedic astrology app and saw it coming before the moon switched signs and its been like this for a while! lol Oh well. Have been having austerity measures. Yes the dress I bought was nice $40 it will have to be my birthday present.

@SmilingGecko the bills just keep coming. I hope things get easier for you soon sweet. My late birthday present was my tattoo which I've been waiting for over 2 years to get done. I reckon the dress is a lovely present to yourself ❤️.
