~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

This is the saving combination we all use in our family to keep the flu at bay as well as recover faster and feel better while still sick. The remedy below will give healing and energy for up to 7 hours.

Flu remedy; Cut up very fine - or buzz - one good size fresh garlic glove. Add 1 tablespoon of raw honey, and 1 teaspoon of turmeric with a pinch of black pepper.

If the cold has gone to the chest; Steep a freshly grated ginger root in 5 litres of water at 90C for 20 minutes with a lid on the pan. (Do not boil the ginger.) And drink with Garlic remedy, or as often as needed to relief chest congestion.

(We eat a few fresh parsley leaves to freshen our breath after eating the garlic this also gives us a vitamin C boost.)
