~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

@Mustang67 @Bunniekins Yes my wife is a very special person she cares about others, and will go out of her way to help those in trouble or hurting put on her path.

@Jynx @Historylover @PeppyPatti

Unsorted triggers from our past, where as a psychotic wild man i wrecked things between us, which have dodged us for all these years. As well as my wife literally laying down her life for me hanging around with me stuck at home. And therefore missing out on friendships and other healthy activities in her life apart of caring for someone always down the dumps.

We had been working on these triggers for ages already together but me merging my raging alter brought up far too much dirt for us to comfortably deal with. Hence the need for this separation. However my wife as well as me have gone into counselling to figure out how best to restore our relationship and heal fro the hurts of the past. We have been married 43 years and although life has been very hard for both us our love only ever grew stronger.

That is why i know we will survive this separation as well for we are both very eager to pick up the thread together again but know that both will have to deal and overcome the issue that caused the situation to be as it is.

So looking forward to having her beside me again. i have never missed anyone in my life as much as i have missed her. She told me the same thing yesterday.

Other good news is i slept for 8 hours straight. The first time i many years i have slept 8 hours straight. A pity that the medications i used to achieve this do not permit me to use this too often, but at least i know i can give myself a break this way.

Nothing love cannot heal no matter how snall love feels.Where in this together let love be our weapon so we may conquer allWhen love has been tied down love will in its sorrow drownSelf love loved right is the very force that will bring you your might.Walk in love together and love will fuse your life together

@Bellaley this is a good space where you will fit in and @MissGremlin has invited you, she seems to be telepathic with her affirmations and we all. Hope she reads them herself and takes them in as so many others do
