~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

@PeppyPatti I haven't been to church in several years. How is your Sunday treating you? xo

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

All good @PeppyPatti I share them, so people can do whatever they like with them. I download the ones, that I find helpful from other people's posts as well.

Check this out, your message doesn't have a support button. Did you do a normal reply, or a quick reply?

I used to go to church when I was a child, and it turned out that my Sunday School Teacher ended up being my stepdad. But my parents were kicked out of the church because they were seeing each other while they were both married to other partners. Even though they both had separated from their partners. So since then my oldest sister is the only one who has continued to go to church.

Sometimes I do feel that something is missing in my life, and from time to time, I do think about going to church.

And my horrible abusive birth father ended up being a preacher in America, so it has put me off.

Yeah @Mustang67

I usually write like button on top of the messages.

where I live in public housing there’s all these people from the local church doing this barbeque. I’m like you.

I can see the good people and am incredibly grateful for these people that they actually give a real ear to you without the garbage -

but naturally there are others like we see everywhere

in it for ‘ something else.’
something maybe to show off about —-

where you live it might be similar — I dunno ——-

but it’s like living with incredibly vulnerable people. Some who use aggression ( lots)

to hide that little girl or boy wrapped around in their hearts

others like me who gets tired really easily and lose muscle lying in bed ……

Re the fence issue @ENKELI , if the neighbour wants something more than the regular fencing, then they'll have to fork out the $$. Totally not your issue. And it's not like you refused a fence.

Re: ~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

@tyme yes Tymey, I contacted the council and got confirmation that not only is it his responsibility he also has to submit plans to the council if he wants it higher than 1.8m. I know he hasn't done that otherwise he wouldn't have threatened me with going to the council. Who by the way don't deal with fence disputes which I am guessing he either knows and thinks I am stupid/naive or doesn't know and is stupid/naive.

He'll get money for a standard 1.8m colorbond fence from me and not a sausage more. Probably the only dispute I will win this year but it's better than nothing.

You made me laugh when I read your post: "I am guessing he either knows and thinks I am stupid/naive or doesn't know and is stupid/naive." and "He'll get money for a standard 1.8m colorbond fence from me and not a sausage more."

Awww @ENKELI , hugs to you.
