~ Toolshed 2: Power Tools for Recovery ~

Hey hi hello! Welcome to the second iteration of...

~ The Toolshed ~

I decided to make a new thread, as the first one had errors and phantom pages, and was getting quite long! You can still find all the amazing pics, inspiring quotes, and uplifting messages of the first Toolshed here.

What is the Toolshed? Ain't a place to hang your hammer! Hehe this is a space where we can share the things that have helped us in our recovery. Tools, coping skills, inspiring ideas, and messages of hope and growth, is what this space is all about!!

You can stay connected and up to date on this space by favouriting, or by subscribing to the thread - head to the top of the page, and find the three dots to the right of the thread title (next to the star), click, and from the drop down menu you can 'favourite' or 'subscribe' - and clicking the star itself will also favourite the thread for you.

Favourite threads are then always available in your favourites list which should appear on the right hand side of most forums pages - or you can go to your profile and scroll down to the 'Favourites' section under your recent posts.

If you subscribe, it means that you will get a notification every time someone posts something new in the thread. So up to you if you simply want it to be always accessible, or if you want all the updates, or both!

I invite anyone who wishes to contribute to do so! It doesn't have to be pictures, it can be discussion, questions, videos, whatever you like! So without further ado, here's my latest batch!

@ENKELI Thanks for your encouraging words and sharing your current struggle. i understand what you are going through full well. Anger is hard when people do horrible things, especially when they keep on doing it, and do not care the hurt they cause. i have also really struggled badly there.

i found that not to suppress ANYTHING, but share all with the one(s) who cares and loves you the most in your life, and you know you can trust, and added professional counseling, if the anger is trauma related in particular.

For if, like i did as well, you have suppressed your anger for years, it so easily can become a real opening critical steam pressure valve too far,😡 😡😡😡😡😡, for your are still standing too close by the hurt that caused the anger. Or you are triggered unexpectedly, and had not expected your own anger to explode like that confronted like such. These were always bad times in my life!😵

i'm in my angry alter since late yesterday so i sympathies with you also going through it. i found that understanding the complexity of the act of forgiveness knows that often times there appears a scapegoat to get rid off. Such times are always times spend in The Wilderness of our life holding onto anger where we cannot forgive, i found.

Really enjoyed listening to this lady speak about following your soul's calling from an (adapted) Eastern perspective. i so agree that we ought to heed The Truth of our Life in the places where truth has us be and live life living true meaning.Great hearing she understands we must heed our life to find our life how truer can she say that? It seem marvelous to be allowed to grow up at the feet of such great, rock solid, mountains.

Nevertheless thankful i know Truth, Light and Life in my existence. For what more can i ever want than meeting the meaning of my existence? Nevertheless i disagree with the lady in the video on leaving Life here in the end. i plan to never leave Life again. Rather preparing to stay in Life so i never have to miss out on good existence again. (That was the meaning of my existence down here summed up really.🤣)

I love the one about being a work in progress @Flutterbug9 . I also like the one about being patient with my anxiety as it's only trying to keep me safe. 💜

@DownMoreThanUp thanks for your words. I have had a major shift in my thinking recently and I know it's thanks to God taking my burden from my shoulders.

I speak with God regularly, as if I am having a conversation with my closest friend.

I don't suppress, I either speak to God about it, talk to my brother or best friend or journal.

I also no longer have anger toward my half sister. She is who she is, she will change when God chooses to change her.
I get upset and angry over small things quickly, but I also get over it quickly.

My day is now going well, having given it to the One who loves me the most xo

@ENKELI Great to hear you this. Praise Jesus! So good when we have Jesus as Saviour. i knew you were His Child. Recognized His heritage in you as His Child straight away. For clearly you also suffer the wicked.

🤗

An all day favourite of our Daughter's happy days.
