Something’s not right

really struggling

really struggling

im really really struggling and i dont know what to do.

im tired and worn out and purely exhausted and so overwhelmed

ive recently been dagnosed with 4 mental health conditions and insomnia.

im caring for everyone and they still seem to expect more and more but i literally have nothing left to give. im completley worn out! and when i say everyone i mean my pop, my siblings, and my mum. my pop im actually a carer for so that i completelty done mind but why am i the only one making an effort elsewhere.

i literally have no friends, the only family i have are the above meantioned and i know its the not the end all but it would be nice it have just little bit of support as at the moment i literraly have nothing.

im working as both a carer and i also like a pet sitter but i only do horses. so in general i rug feed, treat wounds if neccessary ride, clean paddocks etc while people are on holidays only kind of busy trhough easter xmas and other special occasions. as well as cring for my own horses

i feel sick all the time, i shake like a leaf and im having trouble controllling anything and everything. i just cant handle it. its too much and i do know what to do about it

Understandable that you don't want to live like that anymore. You must be completely over all the appointments and all the poking and prodding. Chronic illness can be so hard. Such a long journey.

You've been managing this for such a long time, this suggests to be that you have an incredible amount of resilience and strength. What has been keeping you going all this time?

@Former-Member, I sent you an email, if you wouldn't mind responding to it please 🙂

breathing with you .. as you resist SH and find new pathways ... in your mind and your life ..it can be done ... and it is worth it.

Hey @Former-Member

I'm Froginthepond, one of the mods and just wanted to let you know that I'm on shift now until midnight. So feel free to chat with me either here or via email.

Good on you for calling the crisis helpline, that's what they are there for: to support you when you feel unsafe. What are some things you thought of to ride out the SH urges today? What has helped in the past?

I'm sure that others here have been in this situation many times and will have good strategies to share.

Keep distracting yourself until the urges pass. These are merely thoughts (albe they intense at times), and you can choose not to act on them, as you have been already 🙂

I'm here if you need me,

Frog

Re: really struggling

hi @Former-Member

thanks i might just do that if you dont mind

yes its very nerve wracking even calling the hotline.

the things that helped me today were to just get out of the house and go shopping so i was around people and just not be near any of the things i usually use to SH. nothing has really helped in the past as i jsut found it easier to do it rather than resist the urges.

they are constantly there they just get very strong. and i really try not to act on them but like i said its sometimes its just alot easier to give in.

Breathing .. slow fast .. slower

gasp then settle ... take it slowly

take in some things about your surroundings .. just notice ... light colour texture
