@TheVorticon. I had last week off work due to my depression. Meant to go back tomorrow for the last week of this temp job. But I've been nauseous & have already been sick. So we both might be staying home tomorrow. With regards to food - if in doubt - throw it out. You can't risk eating it if you're not 100% certain.

Re: Angry and alone
Hope you feel better and not nauseous soon @utopia. I'm used to all my food going bad. I'd been living without a freezer for 2 yrs but got one now, can't even tell when milk is bad til it's lumpy. Haven't made myself sick from it yet so that's a plus.
PE was boring - certainly don't miss volleyball 80% of the time when I only cared about playing soccer haha. So yeah that is a positive too

Re: Angry and alone
Of course I had to tell that joke to someone who liked a bit of sport @TheVorticon. My son loves soccer too. Just about to register him for the new playing season. You obviously have a strong stomach. I get sick at the drop of a hat. Weird expression that.

Re: Angry and alone
Haha yeah, whereas if you'd reminded me I didn't have to do any more history, geography or English I'd be jumping for joy @utopia. Awesome, what position does he like? I mostly played left or right mid, but was never particularly good. One year I got put in the worst of 2 teams behind one of the least reliable people ever - the worst part being that the unreliable person who would at times turn up drunk, refuse to play and throw tantrums during training, was still considered more worthy was the real sack of soccer balls. Coach said he'd consider moving me to the better team after the preseason but never did, and that was the last season I bothered with it. Didn't enjoy the social aspect of it anyway, since everyone else was just discussing what happened at parties I never knew anything about and wouldn't have gone to even if I had. But yes, back from that tangent... Hopefully your son enjoys it for many more years to come. Thankfully I rarely get sick in general, but living alone and staying at home certainly helps with that. I'm a giant sook about even getting a cold, so just as well. Already feeling better physically so looks like no escape from work for me.

Re: Angry and alone
@TheVorticon. Lol. No looks like you'll be working tomorrow. The jury hasn't decided about me yet. Still think I will be sick again soon. I don't like sports and am no good at knowing what the positions are or the rules. But my boy plays in the center. He and another boy start the game. This will be his third year playing in the under 16's. They never had an under 14's. The first year - they didn't win a single game. But they did kick a goal. Seriously a single goal. You should have heard me and some of the other parents on the sidelines screaming. You'd swear they just won the world cup. Lol. Last year, they were a lot better. My boy alone kicked 6 goals in the season. They even won a few games. But still the bottom team. Hard when you are from a small town. But honestly - the kids enjoyed it. They'd often comment on the tantrums and lack of team spirit shown in other teams. Our team supports everyone. It's what makes it so good. The emphasis hasn't been on beating the other team - although they like doing that. It's about improving - every player improving on his own ability & the team improving as a whole. It's how I wish all sport was.

Re: Angry and alone
Well I hope your stomach settles before that happens utopia, even though it so might be wise to take the day off anyway just in case. Ah so he's a centre forward then. That's great that they've been improving as a team and are enjoying it along the way. It's really the most important thing. I figure it's alright to be competitive but if that sucks the enjoyment out then it's not worth it. 6 goals in a season is nothing to snease at 🙂 I don't think I ever got that many. Hope the team keeps its spirit this season 🙂
Thanks for the chat tonight.

I logged on late and just saying hi .. on way to bed.

Re: Angry and alone
@Appleblossom. Always happy to receive a 'liked'. Lol. I can eat food in its used by date, that's been stored and cooked properly - but I still react. Have a sneaky suspicion that it might have to do with Fibro myalgia or chronic fatigue - like my mum has. But I'm ignoring that. If I keep ignoring it - my hooe is it won't be diagnosed. Think I may have been an ostrich in a past life. I like to bury my head in the sand. Lol. Goodni both of you. I'm off to try and get some sleep.

Re: Angry and alone
Great, great, great, great, great. Back to the building rage again. I'm fed up with feeling tired when I wake up. I need something to beat up or it's going to be me.
But I hope you both slept well last night. I've definitely used the "how to tell if XYZ has gone bad" or "how long does ABC keep in the fridge" searches online a lot. But then proceed to ignore the results to the second one as they always seem too conservative.
