Safe Now
I went and saw my psychologist yesterday. We talked about some of my trauma stuff in both yesterday’s session and the session before it. Now I am here today having to reassure myself that I am safe now!

@Oaktree Some people say you should have stabilisation before starting EMDR. I think you’d been seeing your psychologist for a while, so might be ok although I think you had a break just recently?

No I sacked her just last week. It didn’t take. Needed her again already this week so no break. She did have a week off a couple of weeks ago

Oh sacking her seems problematic for EMDR @Oaktree
I suppose it depends on the reason you sacked her

@Till23
I sacked her temporarily while I focus on Tafe. I was going to go back in the new year to do EMDR with her. I guess it’s s just going to have to happen concurrently with tafe

Don’t forget to apply for special consideration for TAFE if you need to
@Oaktree
EMDR might use up a lot of your resources and make learning new stuff not ideal. Although some people say they have very quick amelioration of their trauma symptoms with EMDR, so I think it’s a bit of an individual thing.

@Till23
I nearly stayed in bed all day. Trouble was it was a tafe day. Last night I decided it was all too much. I have all this personal drama going on in the background and have high anxiety

Sounds like your body and mind needed the rest @Oaktree
Do you have a regular GP?
I'm asking because you can get a medical certificate for TAFE for today and any future absences you may take.
When do you next see your psych?
Do you normally have anxiety or is it related to the stuff you are currently dealing with?

@Till23
I have anxiety from time to time but lately it has exacerbated. I do have some medication for it but not many tablets. Also can’t take them at Tafe because they make me super tired
