Safe Now
I went and saw my psychologist yesterday. We talked about some of my trauma stuff in both yesterday’s session and the session before it. Now I am here today having to reassure myself that I am safe now!

Thanks @Former-Member @tyme
I just have to keep myself here in the now and not let my brain relive the past. It’s kind of difficult.

I saw my psychologist yesterday again. I got to sleep no problem yesterday but then I woke up at midnight. I ended up having flashback memories of some of my past trauma for 3 hours. I ended up sending my psychologist an email and then getting up to watch some tv just to break the cycle. She gave me a ring this morning to make sure that I was ok and safe. She is going away next week so I don’t have an appointment till the 5th but she said we will work on some processing next time which absolutely terrifies me. She says it will give me some distance from the memories. I am not so sure. She also said she will send me some information about that. She gave me the name of one of her colleagues that I can ring for a chat next week while she is away but I know I won’t call. I don’t trust people I haven’t developed a relationship with. I am struggling with these memories!

@Oaktree oh I feel you, flashbacks are horrible. Glad she checked in with you though and hopefully once she is back you can get some help to manage them.
Sending you lots of strength ❤️.

I feel like I want to chat to someone about it but I don’t know who to turn to. I am not in crisis so not lifeline. I would rather do text based so not the Sane phone line. I don’t know
