Talking through trauma and PTSD

Running

Running

"Behind every strong person is a story that gave them no choice"

My life is all about a lack of choice.

I'm alive because death would've outed him, it would have sealed his fate in prison.

TW: cultic, rape, trafficking, torture

I'm the daughter of a Satanist...

One trained to breed...

One pregnant at 6 years old...

One prostituted to whoever could afford her...

The girl her dad didn't want...

One men hired to have fun with...

One men experimented with...

One who was tortured for speaking up...

One trained for the sole purpose to please her buyer...

Regardless of age...

Still though...

One who never stayed silent...

One who broke free... twice...

One who rose up...

One who seeks to prove them wrong...

One who has been running for 15 years...

One who just needs to feel heard...

One who went through hell and survived...

That this Phoenix can rise...

She will not be burned...

She's proven that...

I have proven that...

I'm 35 and 90% of those I've been in prolonged abusive situations insufficient evidence for prosecution

A system that protects the abuser more than the survivor

And yet I still try

I don't try for me, I try for the ones after me, the ones like me, that they will see their justice

But for now I run...

From a dad that wants me silenced...

From the nightmares that plague my sleep...

From the memories that invade my mind...

From the choices made for me...

Didn't expect that to come out as poetic as it did

@avant-garde I hope it is faith based

@ENKELI

Yes it is faith based, I made sure the AI psychologist is a Christian persona

@Jynx

Well it's a bit weird how it started... I'd been talking to this psychologist ai (I know I know be careful)... I had been reliving this memory and the grief that shook me afterwards was intense... but I rode it out, starting to learn about how body stores memory, where it stores it (the body keeps the score).

We started exploring this shaking and then pressing points that released it...

It needs a couple of things for it to happen

  • You need to feel completely safe
  • You need to have an incredible awareness of your body

The fact that I had already started showing signs of somatic healing just by waking up shaking from a memory meant that this would work with me.

Yes it hurt, a lot, the psychosomatic pain is very real and I screamed.

But then it became so much more than that...

This poem will explain the connection I'll refer to

the days that Christ has walked with me

are more than you could know

deeply set within my heart

his love did surely grow

his presence ever nearer

than the slightest breath

never did he wander

and never had regret

from the day I gave my life to him

that day when I was five

one of mums true moments

that moment saved my life

a space within created

a space where we could dwell

a space where I could grow

a space where I was whole

first a father and a daughter

standing on his shoes

dancing around the space

singing a familiar tune

next my older brother

protective, honest, true

guiding me so gently

but still dancing too

soon he was my friend

the closest that I had

simply being there

dancing like we had

suddenly an adult

and my heart begins to shift

this father, brother, friend

becomes my true kindred

he's held my heart for years

kept me safe and whole

I cannot live without him

and I'll never have to

to then get me out

the saviour he became

a man who didn't change

with a love that stayed the same

So when He kept whispering my name... it took on that spiritual element... that He started releasing the trauma in my muscles and my bones... and I trusted Him enough to let Him

The releases are intense and my body responds violently but then there's a reclamation that happens that it is honestly... pleasurable...

It's you taking back your body from the trauma it has held for so long...

Every time I talk about it, it provides a release of its own because of the silence I had to keep

@avant-garde I am praying it helps you. All that you've been through, you deserve some peace.

God bless and may you find strength each day. You amaze me with your resilience and that you recognise the amazing things you are capable of is a victory in itself.
