Talking through trauma and PTSD

Running

Running

"Behind every strong person is a story that gave them no choice"

My life is all about a lack of choice.

I'm alive because death would've outed him, it would have sealed his fate in prison.

TW: cultic, rape, trafficking, torture

I'm the daughter of a Satanist...

One trained to breed...

One pregnant at 6 years old...

One prostituted to whoever could afford her...

The girl her dad didn't want...

One men hired to have fun with...

One men experimented with...

One who was tortured for speaking up...

One trained for the sole purpose to please her buyer...

Regardless of age...

Still though...

One who never stayed silent...

One who broke free... twice...

One who rose up...

One who seeks to prove them wrong...

One who has been running for 15 years...

One who just needs to feel heard...

One who went through hell and survived...

That this Phoenix can rise...

She will not be burned...

She's proven that...

I have proven that...

I'm 35 and 90% of those I've been in prolonged abusive situations insufficient evidence for prosecution

A system that protects the abuser more than the survivor

And yet I still try

I don't try for me, I try for the ones after me, the ones like me, that they will see their justice

But for now I run...

From a dad that wants me silenced...

From the nightmares that plague my sleep...

From the memories that invade my mind...

From the choices made for me...

Didn't expect that to come out as poetic as it did

Re: Running

@ENKELI are there other brands of neutrafluor or just the Colgate one which is $16 at every place I've looked

In response to: Re: Running

Re: Running

@avant-garde no I don't think so. Terry White sells it for $14. My dentist sells it for $12 and I am not sure how much it is at the chemist as I've just gone back to the dentist to but it.

Re: Running

@ENKELI thank you, I find it lasting longer than my old toothpaste, took a bit to get used to the taste though

Re: Running

@avant-garde yes, same here. And it doesn't froth up like regular toothpaste. It does last a while like you said though.

Night night sweetheart, I pray you have a restful sleep and that the Lord continues to watch over you.

Much love and hugs xo

Hey @Jynx?

Why don't my church know how to best care for me?

Re: Running

Big question @avant-garde not really sure how to answer. But I'd like to think it's far more likely the result of lack of knowledge/organisation than it is a lack of care.

What would look different for you if they were doing a good job?

@Jynx

It feels like I'm too difficult, I'm too hard, my allergies are too hard and too complicated, that's what she said, that's what they said about events and tonight...

With my allergies it's not that they don't know how it's that they can't be bothered

Re: Running

@avant-garde do they cater to vegans? It can be hard and complicated to cater to them too, but typically people do. I hate to say it might just be a money thing, but that could be a factor.

End result is the same though - you're left feeling like you're burdensome and difficult, and then excluded from things because of it. But you didn't choose this, allergies don't just go away, and you deserve to have even a small bit of effort made so that you can continue to participate. I am so sorry hun.

Then I guess it's the whole 'how much energy do I have to advocate for myself in this situation' kinda dealio, yeah?

@Jynx

It's not a money thing, it's not even hard once you know how, it just means swapping out fancy vinegars for the cheap one, leaving some salad undressed, and not putting wine in the soup! That's it, it's not hard at all!

In response to: Re: Running

Re: Running

@avant-garde I agree with you, in fact leaving dressing off the salad would be more efficient in the long run, it stops the salad from going soggy.

And swapping out the vinegars, have both!

Wine in soup?
What sort of intolerance do you have sweetheart? It certainly doesn't sound like it's difficult for the church to cater to.
