Hi @Judi9877 and @tyme @ENKELI @Harmonium @TAB. My personal opinion is that you cannot go wrong with the Bluey coins. They sell out ultra-fast and there is a big market for them. People on Ebay are asking ridiculous prices for these coins, but they should sell for a good profit in years to come.
This is what Google said
Purchasing Bluey coins has historically yielded significant short-term profits on the secondary market, with some sets reselling for 4 to 10 times their original retail price. However, their long-term value as an investment depends heavily on mintage numbers and keeping them in their original packaging.
Potential for Profit
- High Resale Interest: Early releases like the 10-coin set (originally $29) have sold for as much as $300 on platforms like eBay.
- Recent Trends: The 2025 Bluey Christmas coins, retailing at $20, saw pre-sale listings reaching $85 before they even officially launched.
- Collector Demand: Expert opinions suggest that Bluey’s global popularity could sustain demand for these coins for over a decade.
I have been collecting the tooth fairy $2 coin since I started collecting in 2023. They started producing this coin in 2020. I wanted to try and get the full collection, so I purchased the 2021 coin and the cheapest I could find it for was $69.95 and the 2022 coins I purchased for $44.95. I don't have the 2020 $2 coin, and just by having a quick look at the coin shops, they are selling this coin from $195 to $270, and I refuse to pay that much money for a $2. So, it looks like I won't get the full set, unless I find one at auction going cheap.
So buy those prices, I would say they are also a good one to hold on to. For the last three years I have been buying two of the coins, so I can sell one later on when people are trying to complete a full set.
This is what Google said, and it makes a good point about the last three years.
Purchasing $2 Tooth Fairy coins can be worth it for short-to-medium-term profit, as older issues (2020–2021) have seen substantial value increases, sometimes trading at over 10 to 15 times their original retail price. However, newer issues (2024–2026) frequently have unlimited mintages, which can significantly limit their long-term scarcity and future profit potential compared to the strictly limited early editions
I hope this answers your question.
