Coin Collectors' Corner

Coin Collectors' Corner

Hey Everyone!

I thought I'd open this space up to talk all things coins!

I've noticed that we have a few interested coin collectors.

@Mustang67 @Harmonium @Shaz51 @Snowie Feel free to tag anyone.

I'm a bit gutted that I missed out on the Bluey coin collection. I was waiting eagerly for it 😞

Re: Coin Collectors' Corner

@ENKELI I haven't purchased any Bluey coins, as I didn't even know what or who Bluey was. Lol

I tell a lie, I have purchased a Christmas Bluey coin as a present, but I have no idea where it is and with Christmas Day being the anniversary of my dad's passing, I didn't end up giving out any of the coins that I had purchased for presents. I suppose I will find them eventually.

@Mustang67 @tyme @ENKELI

I wonder whether people overseas would buy them also as souvenirs / collector items just because they're Bluey. 🤔

(I would if it were the original Uglydolls pre-Hasbro; I would consider it and probably give in to it if it were the Hasbro-version lol).

Re: Coin Collectors' Corner

@AlwaysMyself I have heard that they are massive in the USA and that's where there is money to be made selling them to the overseas market.

@Mustang67 wow, I am so sorry your dad passed on Christmas day. It's no wonder you have the coins in a safe place. They'll be found when they need to be I'm sure 🙂 xo

@AlwaysMyself I had to look up uglydoll as I had never heard of them. They appeal to me as well!

Is this what you mean? I think it's cute!

Re: Coin Collectors' Corner

@ENKELI yes!!! That is icebat - he is actually my absolute favourite one, good pick!

I won't distract the whole thread 😅 (because i know i've done that by mistake before elsewhere oops) but i will say the concept of Uglydolls is that none are "perfect", each are "unique" and thats what is so valuable about them as characters. For example, this is Ice Bat's bio description which I love (and realate to?). I also have an odd sentimental connection to bats, which is actually how it came about that my friend bought me an Ice Bat item and I learned about Uglydolls nearly 20 years ago 😅.

Ice-Bat lives in an ice cave inside an icebox. Anything he touches turns to ice... yet he warms your heart! Ice-Bat is lookin' to chill with you. He wants to sit next to your computer (which is also frozen) and hang out. Ice-Bat wants to go with you. Why? He thinks you're cool!

Thank you for indulging one of my odd special interests 😆.

...back to coins lol.
