Today I wrote to the local hospital to complain about my treatment on the weekend. When I first arrived in ED I was treated with care and empathy. Due to my physical complaint and my mental illness I was reassured each time a test was being done by the doctor. Then I was transferred to short stay unit. Again I was given great care. But during the night I got worse temp went sky high I was dehydrated snd almost fainted. The nurse called a dr to come and see me. He was the rudest doctor I have ever had. He was short abrupt and said "oh you only have a cold". Had he checked my notes he would have seen I had to have a ct scan for possible blood clot. And that I had to speak to CAT team. And that the doctor in ED wrote down high heart rate and wheeze in chest. He spoke to me like I was a little kid.
I feel that because of my mental illness I wasn't treated right. I never want this doctor to treat me agsin. And it's the second time I've had him and both times he was terrible. No bedside manner at all. So after thinking about it today I decided to write and put my complain in writing. I don't need to be treated like this.
@BlueBay So you are busy and functioning even while at hospital .. dont underestimate your own Mumming power to get things done.

Re: While in hospital
Hi @BlueBay, sorry to hear you're feeling that way. Have you been able to speak to a nurse?

Re: While in hospital
Hi @shinmer@Appleblossom and everyone I managed to talk to a nurse when I got back and have just had a 30 min nap. I actually broke down in car coming back telling hubby I'm so emotional and I'm tired. I told him this time of year is hard for me. He took my hand and said it'll be ok. Once we sell things will get better. Oh and just got a text from my son who is applying police force - his last stage which is panel interview is 13 Jan. I'm so excited for him. I hope he passes then he's in!!! I hVe a feeling next year will be a better year for us all. Better go and have dinner. Love to all. ❤️️❤️️❤️️

Re: While in hospital
@BlueBay. Yes I believe that 2017 is going to be a much better year for all of us. Maybe that's why you have to go through all this now - about your mum and your past - so that you can move on and have a better life in 2017. Your husband sounds positive about this. And your son will be starting a new career. It's all looking good.

Re: While in hospital
@utopia I really hope that next year is a new beginning for me and my family. Daughter excited to move out with her boyfriend, son possibly police career and other son last year at uni. Move to new home. I really hope and pray that things start to turn around. Oh and also a new psychologist who is a female. I went for another walk after dinner with same lady as this morning. Walked to beach and back to hospital. Took about 40 mins. Lots of talking and walking. It was really nice. Now I'm relaxing on my bed going to colour in my book. I so hope I can sleep tonight. Otherwise I may snap at my psych tomo. !!!!!

I am so happy for you @BlueBay
Its actually the best I have heard you in a long time, the hopspital break has been great for you. You sound much more relaxed and to me you sound as though things are starting to fall into place for you. Good on you.

Re: While in hospital
Thanks @Faith-and-Hope. I didn't walk. My son wouldn't come with me & I'm too emotional today to go out on my own. Dark here now. I'll try and go for a walk tomorrow
