Unfortunately kitchen tap and dishwasher tap not working at full capacity and can't operate dishwasher 😭.

That's a bugger @Former-Member I don't have a dishwasher but I don't need one - don't have a lot to wash up for one person.

I hope the issues can be fixed quickly and won't cost too much. I am lucky I can do most plumbing jobs myself and for the bigger things my sister's partner is a plumber - so it is only the cost of materials. My hot water cylinder died a few years ago and he installed a second hand one ...which he had just pulled out of a house where they upgraded to gas so it was still relatively new.

Unlike here. I'm staying with my Mum and Dad ATM. We have no plumbing skills. Plumber is still here working

I have been really unwell and lost my little flat last year as well as nearly everything else. I am lucky to have a roof over my head.

My plan for today is to swim again although I am not feeling great after my vaccinations yesterday.

Really achey.

Oh @Former-Member the plumbing job has got even bigger ...the pipe has completely disintegrated so I will need to dig further to replace more. It is going to take me days. For now I have dug enough for it to continue to drain ...and I will dig out more a little at a time over the next few days.

I am really sorry you had to give up your flat Hon - that would have been so hard. Grateful though that you could stay with your Mum and Dad. From my own experience - that would be hard - losing your independence and having to rely on the generosity of others - but as you said ...you have a roof over your head. Sometimes we just have to make the most of what we have and look forward to find that path again 💕

Hit another issue @Former-Member It seems one of the inflowing pipes from the laundry is also broken as there is a leak under the back step. Tomorrow I will need to remove the step to see where it is coming from ...and hope it is not under the house. I have a miniature pool outside my back door but I will deal with that tomorrow.

There are a few spots on the ceiling I need to touch up where the paint bled under the tape but that won't take long - another job for tomorrow.

I have cleaned up inside, cooked dinner and showered - now watching the NRL with Tobes snuggled next to me. I am not planning on moving from the couch this evening 😛

Sorry @Zoe7 to hear of your new pool. Sounds like a nightmare.

It is certainly not ideal @Former-Member but the positive is when it is all done it will be brand new and (hopefully) will never need to be done again. The house is nearly 100 years old and by the look of the plumbing, so are the pipes lol

I have the doona on the couch and quite comfortable at present - going to sleep here tonight as I cannot be bothered making the bed.
