Hi @Zoe7 ,

Good luck with all your hard work today.

Hope you enjoyed your evening.

Re: Hi I'm new to this forum how does it work ?

I had my psych appointment this morning @Former-Member then slept for a while when I got home. I have not done much today - a little digging and finished moving the tiles in the laundry apart from the ones under the washing machine. I will move that tomorrow and pull the last ones up. Housework and tv on the agenda for tonight.

How has your day been Hon?

Hi @Zoe7,

I bet you were tired after all your work yesterday.

How are Clover and Toby ?

I'm still waiting for a psych.

Bloody desperate for one.

Would just about swim to Tassie to get one, especially a good one.

Quite day for me looking for work and doing some gardening.

I spent a longtime at the pool.

Ready for another night in front of the tv what about you ?

Re: Hi I'm new to this forum how does it work ?

I was pretty tired after yesterday but also didn't have a great night so that was a factor too @Former-Member My new psych is great. I have only seen her 3 times so far but we clicked instantly. We actually talked about that today. It took a while to get into her but she was who my pdoc wanted me to see and it was worth the wait. My pdoc was going to continue to see me every few months also but she has cut back her hours at the clinic to only see in-patients and taken up another role at another hospital - so no more pdoc. I am okay with that. The first couple of weeks I was up and down after such a long time seeing her but having this new psych and my GP (who I will see more regularly for a while) will be enough. I am in a pretty good place and don't really need the same level of support so it is a good thing.

Are you on a wait list for a psych Hon? It is so difficult at the moment with finding someone to see - everyone is booked out, closed their books or themselves overworked 😔

Toby and Clover are good. Clover is outside and Toby snuggled on the couch. When I was outside I wondered why he was not right next to me then I noticed I had left a bucket right in the only spot he could walk through - the poor little mite was stuck on the other side of the hole. He is little and not a jumper so he had no idea how to get to me. As soon as I moved the bucket I had my supervisor right next to me again 🐶💖

As for the pool - you could swim to Tassie to see a psych and use my backyard to swim in LOL The hole is much bigger but also full of water at present - I will get the bucket out and scoop some out soon then have a shower and collapse in front of the tv also for the evening.

@Zoe7 keep warm out there while bucketing out that hole. Poor little Toby doesn't sound like a useful "helper", but very useful on the couch.

I struggle with my sleep as well. Just wondering what a pdoc is ? Sorry not good at abbreviations.

Thanks for sharing your story re : doctor's and psychs and 🎊 congratulations on not needing as much support.

I'm at opposite spectrum. I can't get enough. I am on a waitlist for private/public psych and bulk billed psychologist.

I do have a private out of pocket $80 appointment with a private psychologist on the 8/8.

Like yourself I am seeing Gp forthrightly not that I' m 100 % happy with her.

I'm watching Comedy tonight on iView what is on for you and the fur babies ? 😊🐕😼

Re: Hi I'm new to this forum how does it work ?

Sorry Hon - pdoc is psychiatrist.

Toby is a great 'supervisor' lol He likes to paint himself when I am painting, get mud on him in the garden and when I am digging 'holes' - pretty much anywhere I am he is right by my side. He has been like that since the day I bought him home ....my little shadow from day 1. I really am the luckiest girl in the world to have such a beautiful little buddy by my side @Former-Member

I am presently watching the footy but I will watch some of a series on SBS I have been watching later. I walk around the house watching on my computer whilst I do things hahaha

A good psych and GP are worth their weight in gold. I came about my GP by chance. I was really unwell and she was the only one I could see at such short notice as my regular one only worked 2 mornings a week - and was off sick at the time also. She has been beyond amazing. I was seeing her everyday for months and on her day off and weekends she would call or message me to check in - above and beyond support. I do know how privileged I have been to have that support.

I really feel for you waiting for that support - it is not good enough Hon. I hope you get in to see someone soon. I can afford the gap to see someone because I am working but I couldn't have done when I was not. I really struggled to find the money but my psych started bulk billing because I needed the help but could not afford it. There are some good ones out there.

Re: Hi I'm new to this foruum how does it work ?

Thanks for explaining that to me - Lol.

I miss my dog so much whenever you talk about Toby. However I did talk to my dog'snew Mum today and get some photos which made me feel better and she is doing great.

She couldn't be happier. Lives on 10 acres bordering a state Forest and can run with a neighbour's dog.

I'm so pleased you have such a great Gp you have inspired me to keep looking. Sounds like you understand what it's like to go through tough times.

You are an inspiration as your health sounds great now.....

What sort of series are you watching ?

Yeah !!! For Toby the SNOOPERVISOR, sounds like such a character of a dog.

Re: Hi I'm new to this foruum how does it work ?

Oh hahahaha SNOOPERVISOR - I love it 🐶💖🤣

I did forget that you had to give up your dog @Former-Member so I am really sorry if talking about Tobes makes you sad. I could never imagine having to do that but I hope knowing she has space to run and is well looked after helps just a little bit.

I went through hell for a very long time Hon. Several suicide attempts (unsuccessful of course), daily check ins from my team for months, more medication changes than I could count and a lot of support from here on the forums, the SANE counsellors, community manager and moderators at the time. I would never had gotten through without all of them. So yes I know what rock bottom is and how much it takes to work back from there. I had a lot of hope kept for me because I could not see any. I now have some of that myself - but it takes work (and support) to stay on top of everything - and I am so privileged to be taking this journey with you now Hon 💖

Hello @Zoe7 ,

I love to hear about cute Toby 🐕. I love animals.

It is so hard trying to what feels like , " drag yourself out of the mud everyday".

Even harder without support.

Thanks for your support @Zoe7. It means a lot.

I appreciate your kindness and your sharing 💕🌹💜.

You will have to explain how to access the other supports through Sane.
