Welcome and getting started

Trying makes it worse

Trying makes it worse

Hi,

I'm EternalFlower and I've been feeling completely overwhelmed, sad, and pessimistic.

I've tried and been a responsible patient and person, reaching out to various services when I started feeling scarily anxious and suicidal, 2 years back..

My Dr is new, a young guy who regularly admits he's inexperienced, and aside from some good jokes, he actually does very little

I notice how easy it is to blame myself that I don't feel better, a total shame spiral, but I wander if my treatments just are bad....

I wanted to chat and hear anyone and hope I can use this space to help not feel so alone.

Thanks xxx EternalFlower

It's so hard @N1812345 I stand with u. It is so hard to know which one is good and then so few take patients or can get in anyway....

I'm sorry it's so hard and just hope ur OK ♥

Hello @N1812345 Getting decent health care is not as easy as it seems.

I used to walk at night as well as day to catch up sometimes @Appleblossom then a few years back idiots in car pretending to ask for directions drove off in big hurry throwing full drinks at me.
realised after this was stopping me walking at night. Sorry re healthcare @N1812345 its a puzzle

Perhaps go to salvos or somewhere @N1812345 they might know somewhere for you to go. I can still just get bulk billing but if after 5 or on wknd there's usually an extra fee now

Re: Trying makes it worse

@TAB There are some problem types out there.

I walked everywhere when young as we never had a car. I walked to and from school and one year worked in Lygon st at night after school At first I was scared, but eventually I came to love walking in the quiet and dark when my night time vision came on. I felt safe and invisible in a good way. Weirdly enough I had no attacks even though was walking next to big parkland Royal Park. An attack by gang had already occurred much earlier (when 9) in broad day light. Maybe its another reason why I do not have a normal sense of what is a risk or what is safe. Now I see it as I never had a safety baseline from early childhood.

@EternalFlower @N1812345 Hope you both are hanging in there alright.

Re: Trying makes it worse

well hopefully you can walk around at night now @Appleblossom

that's really not good about the attack.Sorry to hear that.

yes, I imagine this lot had something worse planned for me then changed their minds , just worried that I did nt just walk off, guess part of it was not trying to show them where I lived, I was only 50 metres from home.
