Hey @EternalFlower sounds like maybe you are having a down day? Sleep is so important - I can't function & feel low when my sleep is messed up. Then I feel low that I'm feeling down.
We can't control sleep either, I don't know - it's really hard mentally to battle.
Gosh things here have been tumultuous. Triage are involved again. Case manager is MIA - it's been over a week. Triage had previously been relying on cm to follow up. Lots of communication breaks. Very frustrating & exhausting for both of us. PRN meds dispensed since last night - housemate is far too sedated, at least he is calm. Another appointment first thing tomorrow. The problem (one of) is that without cm there is no continuity of care - he and I (mostly me) have had to explain the same story, circumstances over & over again to each new nurse! Of course this adds so much more pressure on him & I think he is feeling very let down & overlooked by the system. I think things are finally improving?! Lots of nurses involved now who all know that he is struggling. It's been a really big effort to get here.
If he gets attention from professionals he does much better - it's when the gaps happen - that I think he starts to feel really unsafe & struggles lots.
Maybe you are feeling similar about your friend? Waiting for text message to reply - it can be really disappointing & confusing.
The mistake that I made today - was that I didn't call - I was sending all these texts to his cm this morning - I felt so deflated that I got no response. Only to find out later - she wasn't even in today?!
Consider calling your friend, if she doesn't reply.
If she is there & didn't reply to your text on purpose - please consider letting her know it made you feel disappointed. I think it's ok to express our feelings. They are not right or wrong.
I watched a scary movie (for the 2nd time) called Hole In The Ground. It's very scary & also about mother's love for her son. I think it's Irish. It was on SBS.
