It sounds like a trauma response. That constant flight/fight response and hyervigilance is so draining. Whilst trauma often occurs around people, the healing also is around people @BipolarRich

Do you have supports to help you through?

Hello 👋🏻 I am PansexualPirate, I was going to write you can call me PP for short but I’d rather you don’t 🤣

A few facts about me:

• I love to be creative and I’m usually found at my desk doing something crafty.

• I am studying to be a youth worker because I’d love nothing more than to give young people a voice.

• My favourite animals are monkeys, especially orangutans.

Glad to be part of the SANE community ☺️

Re: Welcome! Introduce yourself here 🙂

Awesome stuff @pansexualpirate !

Thanks so much for sharing! What an amazing role as a youth worker.

I spent a lot of time working with youth in Mental Health, but I struggled. It was had to balance out safety aspects while also remembering they are minors.

Hence I moved to working with adults at SANE instead.

But certainly, working with youth is incredibly rewarding.

Look into deep breathing techniques and how to reset your Vegas Nerve. This was a game changer for my anxiety.

TW: mentions of suicide

Hi all ,

Is there a way though? I don't see one, I am a suicide survivor which is extremely embarrassing especially at the time, but I guess being intoxicated you don't always get things right... my doctor is filling me with drugs [edited by moderator] my psychologist is borderline sending the police around to take me to hospital ( her words ) ... so my question for people on here is how? How do you feel happy enough that you want to live you're life? Is there a trick to enjoying life or are some of us just meant to live life behind a mask until we decide enough is enough?
