Moving forward

Moving forward

As Monday looms I have been trying to work out how to move forward. Today I started collecting things for my coping box (thanks @Crazy_Bug_Lady). I bought some of my fave chocolates to put in and have been gathering bits and pieces. Happy for any other suggestions as to what to put in. I think I may need one for the car too. I'm thinking I may copy some pieces of wisdom from this forum and print them up to add in.

I'm hoping that I get to write more on this thread than the struggle thread as time goes by. Please feel free to add how you are moving forward as well. 💜😊

Re: Moving forward

Love the purple for your girl @Former-Member.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I'm sorry you didn't get back the results you were hoping for @Former-Member. I'm sorry your thyroid is coming into the mix for you too. I'm not sure if I should ask this but are you hoping to become pregnant, it was the IVF specialist comment that made me think. You do seem like someone who would bounce back,

i meet my phams worker mid morning tomorrow. My birthday is one I'd prefer not to have next year 😬. It's in January. Have you added yours into the happy birthday discussion?

Re: Moving forward

Thanks @Former-Member .

I was not expecting the hormone results to be good but my GP was a bit shocked about my thyroid results.I know its not all doom and gloom.

I have been under the care of IVF dr since 2010 and it has been a rocky road with mainly negative news. I'm getting closer to stopping the IVF treatment but I will give myself a few more months. My IVF dr will continue to treat my POF because I have a lot of faith and confidence in him. I had surgery 30th Dec last year (2015) endo and cysts- he did the surgery for this. I actually would love to be a mother be I am afraid time is ticking away from me. But I am not going to give up hope not just yet.

I am glad your birthday is before mine in July- yes I have added mine to the birthday discussion. These birthdays are coming around too quickly now.

Re: Moving forward

I'm so sorry that it's been so hard for you @Former-Member. That must be so hard receiving bad news. I know you'd be a wonderful mum so I'll cross my fingers for you and make a wish that it will happen🙏 . I'm really glad you are in good hands. Life seems cruel sometimes with things like this😢.

yes the birthdays keep coming. I haven't been able to participate in one yet but will one day. I would like mine to stop just now because I need to grow up a bit before my next birthday. I don't feel ready to be that age yet 😏😤😬😱😮😳

Re: Moving forward

I'm not ready for another birthday yet either, but you seem pretty grown up to me @Former-Member .

It has been a rollcoaster of emotions for me the IVF journey.

I really feel for you @Former-Member. It must be a really difficult thing to go through. I can only imagine how heartbreaking it must be at times.

Thanks for the compliment but I've got a way to catch up to my age maturity wise. Maybe one day I will 😉🙏

Re: Moving forward

Hello @Former-Member

Thanks for thinking of me my lovely. Things have improved slightly with my daughter. She did stop one of her meds that was making her very tired and moody and has started back on the original anti-d she was prescribed and seems happier. She is applying for two jobs next week so hopefully she will land one of these and keep a job this time.

She is still with the controlling boyfriend so things could still go belly up anytime. I live in hope she will meet someone else - not the ideal solution but it's the only way she will leave him. She can't be alone. So I am taking in one day at a time presently living in hope.

In myself I feel good but am in quite a lot of pain with a crook left ear which I have to have syringed next week. I have survived a lot worse in my life and it fails in comparison - but funnily enough the blocked unbalanced feeling distresses me and shakes me up abit. I'll feel sorry for myself until I fix the problem Wednesday then I will be good again haha.

How is everything going for you now @Former-Member?

Hi @Former-Member - have you started the volunteer work as a guide yet? Sorry to read of your struggles with IVF - it must take its toll emotionally. Hugs xx

Hi @Former-Member

How was your day?

Re: Moving forward

@Former-Member i really feel for you.

As you, I always wanted to be a mum. I got married and wanted children after a few years. Little did I know it would take us 5 1/2 years for me to fall pregnant. In that time i was trying my younger sister had two children. And there was so much pressure in my family for me to have children. The flack I copped from relatives was terrible.

After seeing an IVF specialist I had surgery and then injections but nothing was working. I ended up seeing a naturopath and after 2 years of weekly visits and tablets and liquid mixtures to drink I was so shocked to find that I finally fell pregnant.

I thought i would never be a mum and that was all i ever wanted.

Pls @Former-Member never give up hope and faith. I am sending you a prayer and hope that one day soon you will be able to fall pregnant.

thinking of you @Former-Member xxxooo

Re: Moving forward

Hi @Former-Member

Thanks for tagging me in the message.

I have to do a course first before I start doing the voluteer work (guide). I am also doing some other volunteer work (masters games) and lifelife (clothing weekend sale). Yes the IVF is tough but I am in really good hands- he really does look after me. I took Kira for a long beach walk today. Tomorrow I am cleaning up at home and doing some cooking and baking and Sunday going to visit some family.

What have you been up to today and what do you have planned for the weekend?
