Moving forward

Moving forward

As Monday looms I have been trying to work out how to move forward. Today I started collecting things for my coping box (thanks @Crazy_Bug_Lady). I bought some of my fave chocolates to put in and have been gathering bits and pieces. Happy for any other suggestions as to what to put in. I think I may need one for the car too. I'm thinking I may copy some pieces of wisdom from this forum and print them up to add in.

I'm hoping that I get to write more on this thread than the struggle thread as time goes by. Please feel free to add how you are moving forward as well. 💜😊

Good to see you sorting out your health @TAB. You have a strong survivor spirit. I'm sure you'll get it all sorted. I've been taking it easy @TAB. Medication means I don't think so much cos it takes too much energy to engage brain but it's what I needed, to be flattened for a bit. Keep on trudging on @TAB. I'm sure you'll kick its butt. 💜😊🤗💐

Hey @Faith-and-Hope hows things going? I'm about as far as D3 getting an extension for work lost on the computer. What else is happening in your world?

Re: Moving forward

Thanks ..well it sorta foisted itself on me re health @Former-Member , well whilst 'trudging'.. funny hadnt thought of it like that but pretty apt lol .. I have to have procedure that involves general anaesthetic and told is 1/3000 chance of going pearshaped lol .. not bothered, that really does not concern me, was just a bit embarrassed at worried looks given when they said that I had no one to go home to re after anaesthesia, they said they might keep me overnight. May just get a cab home, tell them there is someone there, see what happens. Oh, all nice cool aircon etc at hosp may have to revisit idea once had of getting a job there haha

Sorry for carrying on. Today's been pretty surreal for me somehow, and glad you have meds. Reply/reading optional re brain lol hope you are comfy

Re: Moving forward

Hey @TAB. I had my first surgery (removed parathyroid) under general anaesthetic last year and stayed over night. It was all pretty cruisy. I'm sure yours will be too. Make the most of meals you don't have to get for yourself I reckon. Good luck with it 💜😎🤗

Re: Moving forward

Hi @Former-Member 😊💕

Thanks for asking ......

D3 decided on Turs that she didn't have it in her to get up and go again. This TAFE Cert has a lot of modules and she had lost all momentum and belief that she could do it, despite the extra time. We all thought it was over at that point .....

Then her headmistress called and spoke with her ..... encouraging her to come in and lay it all out with moral support and put the pieces back together ..... try again ..... the staff didn't want to see her stop trying and we all rallying for her to keep going cos she's nearly there ..... she couldn't quite believe her ears .....but agreed to try again.

Copying and pasting this part from another thread -

D3 got herself to school at a decent hour and worked on the TAFE Cert all day ..... it has become clear that she can still achieve it if she keeps working like this .... the teachers and other staff went through it all with her and it's do-able .... not home and hosed yet, but on the way ...... and she's like a different girl. She had honestly believed it was all over. It's going to be hard, but if she sticks with it she will get through, and she can see that now.

Rollercoaster goin' up again .....

💗🌷💕 ..... breathe .... 💗🌷💕

I'll be around again a bit later, but feeling exhausted in the backwash right now ....

Hugs @Former-Member ..... so glad to hear you feeling better by degrees ...... ❤
