My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Totally fair @Bow and I understand the hesitations. You still deserve support and that random stranger might just be super kind right when you're needing it.

Just keep it open as an option if things get really intense <3

Hiya @Shaz51 good to see you floating around ^_^

@Bow

I’m really glad you get to see your dietician tomorrow 💛 (and your CM).

And yes, super hard to be compassionate to ourselves! I wish it was easier but going to try to keep trying anyway 😅

Re: My Mosaic

What a rollercoaster of a day!

the SW messaged me asking how I was feeling and if I wanted her to stop by. She had already told me that she was coming.

I had a really good appointment with my dietitian this morning. She was rather speechless when I explained everything that’s gone on with my supports. She understands the need to stability and continuity of care. She asked what prompted me to make the appointment and I explained that my CM and psychologist were encouraging it, but with all the instability in my supports I knew that I had a space of safety with her and that I knew that i would be heard and validated. I really appreciated her and the space that she creates.

I had already emailed her a pretty lengthy update but we did talk at length about my concerns around my cardiovascular health. Found all of that really helpful. I’ve gotta make getting my bloods and ECG a priority- this was a request from the last pdoc I seen, but my dietitian said the ECG is really important. I need to take some vit D supplements into the chemist to have them added to my Webster pack cause low (my dietitian was shocked at how low my vit d had got) can also impact on your heart. She also said it’s really important to limit, like 10mins, cause exercising while malnourished is also another added stress on my heart. Gotta try the up and go too.

So I’ve come away with a list of things to do. I wasn’t necessarily expecting to come away with anything but the sense of being heard.

then I had my appointment with my CM. Told her the outcome of my dietitian appointment, she noted it all down so that she can support me with them if necessary. Talked about the issues with the SW and then went over my weekly schedule which I mostly suck at. I was suppose to stop off at the chemist on my way home but that didn’t happen either.

home and the SW was coming at 2. She came. Stayed for 10mins. Sigh. Why even come? The team leader obviously didn’t pass on anything I said yesterday. There was no check in around my safety, in fact noone today did, she knew I had just had 2 appointments and she didn’t care to ask how they went.

im sorry to keep going on about this. i don’t know what else to do.

@Bow

I’m really sorry the SW didn’t check in with you about safety. How did your CM respond to hearing about the issues you’re having with them?

I’m not surprised your dietician was speechless with everything that’s happened. I’m glad she could provide that space for you to feel heard and cared about. I imagine it was helpful to have someone in front of you who so clearly cares about your safety/health/mental health. I’m also glad your CM is going to support you with the actions that the dietician gave you. 💛

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow

Came on here to see how your appt. went. I'm glad it went well with your dietician and felt heard. I know she is a great support for you. Sounds like you have a few things to do. Did you make another appt. with her?

Lack of communication between supports isn't helpful for you at all. I thought checking in on your safety should be included in any discussion you have. I'm sorry this isn't the case.

I hope this afternoon you were able to have some 'me' time and do something nice for yourself.

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Wintersweet thank you. Yeah my CM is just as frustrated as I am. She told me to see how I go and to let her know if I would like for her to speak with them.

how are you today? How was your day?

have you been following any of the Lindsay Clancy case that seems to be all over social media? I got a bit hooked but try not to spend too much time going down rabbit holes. I did however come across a post this morning that really hit home for me and couldn’t ring any truer of what I am currently dealing with (just referring to my own care and absolutely no risk of hurting someone else)

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Snowie dear.

yeah I have an appointment with her for a months time. I also have to see my gp before I see her next to renew my ED care plan. I’ve made that appointment today too.

I’ve just been on the couch this afternoon. Watched something on Netflix. And just helped D make some Oreo cheesecake balls, nice and easy for her to do, just had to operate the thermomix. They will last a day maybe.

how are you doing? How’s your day?

Re: My Mosaic

Well done on making them appts. @Bow A step in the right direction.

Ohhh oreo cheesecake balls sound yummy. They wouldn't last long in my house either.

My day has been chaotic.
