My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow

It makes sense that it would affect you, and having a headache on top of that would have made it even harder to do anything. Hope you can give yourself credit for getting through the day. It’s easy to overlook what an achievement that is sometimes. 💛

Re: My Mosaic

It must be hard for both you and your mum @Bow with the situation with your brother. Especially when you are reaching out and getting nothing in return.

I'm sorry it's affecting you so much hon.

Thanks @Wintersweet we were lucky, had lovely weather.

Re: My Mosaic

That view is amazing @Snowie would be nice to sit and look out over that. Thank you

we should all be coming together at the moment with my other brother so sick.

I try. I did actually manage a shower this morning too @Wintersweet i don’t actually know how I managed it but I felt fresh.

how are you both? Busy week ahead?

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow

So proud of you and so glad it felt good!

And yes, it would definitely be the time that you’d want the family to come together. It would be super disappointing and hurtful.

And yes, busy week for me coming up. Some good things but I’m a bit stressed that I won’t be able to make up hours for work if I can’t focus/miss time due to MH issues.

Hi @Bow

Quite a busy week. Psych, gp for both me and mum, pdoc, hairdressers, then D has dance all weekend. Took mum up the street this morning.

What is our week looking like? How is today going?

Trying to catch up on washing from the weekend. I miss a few days and it piles up!

Hi @Wintersweet I hope the day is being kind to you too

Re: My Mosaic

That does sound like a bit of a busy week @Snowie hope your mum was in a good mood this morning

not too much on this week for me, but I do have my sleep follow up tomorrow. Bit anxious but also keen to see what they say. Psych on Thursday and that’s it.

been out this morning to get groceries and meds, really didn’t wanna go. I had horrible night sweats last night, Urgh dam you perimenopause! Oh and if that’s not enough let’s just thrown in that time of the month too! Screw you body!!

hey @Wintersweet hope you got off to a good start this morning, sending all the good positive focus vibes your way for work 💜

Re: My Mosaic

Well done for getting to the shops @Bow I know how hard that can be.

Is a bit of a busy week. One day at a time.

Mum was ok. Complaining her hearing aids don't work and she needs new ones. She forgot to charge them 🤦‍♀️They should be fine. She complained most of the time. Nothing is ever good enough for her.

I hope with the sleep follow up that you can get some answers and even some suggestions. Hopefully then your sleep can improve.

Sometimes it's so hard to be a woman. We seem to get all the fun stuff!

Re: My Mosaic

@Snowie

It would be really draining spending time with anyone who’s never satisfied. Even harder when it’s your mum. Hope the rest of the day is kind to you and sending you all the good wishes for your busy week, especially for the psych appointment and pdoc.

@Bow

Thank you for the positive focus vibes! I’ve been a bit foggy but way better than Friday in that I’m at least thinking foggily about the right thing rather than being completely distracted. And well done for getting the grocery/med run done! Especially with such a rough night/being at that time of the month. Joining with Snowie to wish you a good outcome from your sleep follow up tomorrow.

Re: My Mosaic

Oh it’s hard when they complain all the time @Snowie

my brother in Tas has hearing aids and oh my gosh! He started with the generic cheaps ones the government hand out but he is really into tech so wanted a pair that he could connect through his phone with. Only thing is he gets a lot of interference and they constantly whistle, was so annoying when we were there! And my dad also has hearing aids (hopefully I won’t!) but when dad and my bro are together my dad has to take his out cause they constantly whistle.

im really hoping they don’t recommend a sleep apnea machine.

glad today has been a bit better at work @Wintersweet

I wanted to show you this guy. Built him over the last and absolutely adore him. Such a classic movie and a big part of my childhood. The little lines on his chest- has press a button on his back and his chest glows red.
