My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

@Snowie

Thanks! I’m looking forward to getting to know you too. 😊

@Bow

It makes sense that you’d feel anxious given the uncertainty of meeting someone new and not knowing how helpful they’ll be. Really hoping it is indeed at least somewhat helpful, glad you’ll have your old SW with you, and proud of you for doing what you can to keep yourself occupied while you wait. An entire cabinet of Alice books sounds delightful! It’s such an engaging story and such a fascinating aesthetic.

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Bow

I still think you need another book case!!

Glad you were able to rearrange things. No doubt kept you busy too and hopefully not thinking too much about this afternoon.

My morning has been chaos. A lot of it to do with mum. Things eventually worked out ok.

Hi @Wintersweet and thanks for the tag. It’s lovely to meet you on here. I’m around most days at varying times if you want to chat.

Re: My Mosaic

Wow that pdoc was amazing @Snowie @Eve7 @Wintersweet @AuntGlow

she asked all the right questions and asked for clarification when needed. She wanted all the details. She covered all bases. I have not seen a more thorough pdoc in a very long time. She was kind and caring, she was calm. She asked questions of my SW, which gave the pdoc a more accurate picture of the just how much I struggle. She took heaps of notes… and she actually read through my file before hand too.

As we talked she made a list of what she wanted to do and follow up with.

She wants to wait and see what the results are from my narcolepsy sleep study is. She said the treatment for that is a stimulant medication, which could solve the ongoing issue I had with a stimulant medication for my treatment resistant depression- which was helping but difficult to get a script for.

ive got a pathology request form, she wants to check all sorts of things. She wanted to see me in 4 weeks after my sleep follow up but couldn’t get an appointment for 6 wks I think.

My SW and I walked out of the building and my SW said wow.

I can only hope that she stays around yeah?

Re: My Mosaic

Wow @Bow

I am so happy for you hon. To come away from a first time meeting feeling that positive is rare.

I love the fact that she read through your file before hand. Tells you that she takes her job seriously and wants the best for you.

For your sake I really do hope she sticks around and it can become a stable person in your life.

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow

I’m so so happy the appointment went well! Having someone who is prepared and genuinely interested makes such a difference. Hopefully she can indeed help with the stimulant prescription one way or another. I know it’s also natural to be both anxious and happy/hopeful at the same time! So glad seeing this pdoc was such a positive experience.

Re: My Mosaic

That's okay, our journal is meant for us and our inner processing, so that's amazing. 🥰 @Snowie

Those positive feelings can be tapped into at any time @Bow, they are never fully gone. 😍
