My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

I think the uncertainty makes it hard too @Bow Not knowing whats happening.

I really hope you don't have to go into the appt. alone. That you have some support.

Had psych today. Triggered, dissociated. Came home and rung scbs.

@Eve7 I'd notice 💗

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Snowie my old SW said that she will come. Which I am relieved about. She knows me and can help when I freeze.

im really sorry about your psych appointment. I hope scbs was somewhat helpful? I have my psych on Thursday and am dreading it. I’ve had so many breaks since starting with him I haven’t got any momentum and I’ve totally forgot what we talked about last time. Even looked in my notebook and there are notes but I still got no clue. Sigh.

have you been to the queen vic markets?

Re: My Mosaic

I hear you, and I know how important clear communication is, as well as stable supports.

Feeling lost and confused makes sense here. 💛

What is coming up for you re: the pdoc appointment?

Thank you, I think it's just a virus for now. 🫶 @Bow

How are you @Snowie @Eve7? 🥰

Re: My Mosaic

@AuntGlow its another new pdoc. Another new person. 5th pdoc this year. I asked if my old SW could come with me and she will. Thankfully. It’s exhausting having to start with someone new. And being vulnerable. And I’m just over it. Never know if this one is going to stick around or not.

so much going around. I was sick a few weeks back.

Re: My Mosaic

Has been awhile since you've seen either @Bow

I hope both go well for you and that you can get back into a routine of seeing them.

I have been to the Queen Victoria Market numerous times. I always get fresh fruit and veggies when I go. They have such a big selection .

Psych appt got heavy. I guess it was needed. SCBS were helpful. Spoke to a lady that seemed to understand.

Hi @AuntGlow things not ok. One day at a time.

Re: My Mosaic

Having your old SW there will be really anchoring, I am sure. Oh, completely - how you're feeling is SO understandable.

Are you still seeing the male psychologist you were telling me about a while ago? @Bow 💛

And I hear you, @Snowie. A heavy psych appointment can be a lot to hold afterwards.

What would it be like to journal about how you're feeling or to share it with H? Most of all, what grounding or strategy would feel safe to explore tonight? 💛

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow I’m really glad your old SW can come with you to see the new pdoc. It would be so destabilising to have them keep changing your supports. Hope that the appointment tomorrow is ok and that the pdoc can be understanding and helpful. Hope the psych appointment goes ok too and that they’re able to help you pick up where you left off (or where you are now, whatever is more helpful).

@Snowie and @Eve7 I know I haven’t introduced myself to you two yet. I came across this thread and replied to Bow the other day. It’s really encouraging to see how you support each other. Hope it’s ok for me to be here.

Also, Snowie, I’m glad SCBS were helpful when you called them. I’ve found them helpful in the past too. I’m sorry things are so hard though. The post-psych-session dissociation and SI can be so intense. I’m really glad you reached out to someone and could get some support. Hope your psych can also hear what that was like for you and have it positively inform how they support you.

Hi @Bow

I know your appt. isn't till late this afternoon but really hope it goes well for you.

Hi @Wintersweet so nice to meet you. I'm glad you have found this forum and this thread. Please feel free to tag me in your threads, would be great to get to know you.

I'm glad scbs has helped you in the past too.

I often journal @AuntGlow I do find it does help. It's not something that I let others read.

I ended up just going to bed last night

Re: My Mosaic

hi @Wintersweet and thanks. My anxiety is building in the lead up to my appointment this afternoon.

have kept busy so far after a rather slow start. Sat and stared out the window for ages just couldn’t get myself up and moving.

how are you doing?

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Snowie thank you. How are you doing today?

I spent a couple of hours rearranging and sorting out my Alice book cabinet. With all the new ones I got, I needed to move things around. I use to have a shelf with some double ups that I had and then a heap of vintage little golden books and other old Disney books. Now my cabinet is all just Alice books. I had to move the other books elsewhere.
