My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

I can really understand why that would be so overwhelming @Bow, especially when you've finally started building trust and a relationship with your support worker, only to have things changed around again. It makes sense that it would impact your sense of safety and continuity, particularly when consistency is something you really need

I hope the transition is as smooth as it can be, and that your next support worker is someone you can build that trust with over time

I love hearing about your hobbies though! 😊 You sound incredibly creative. It's so lovely that you foster kittens and cats too, they're very lucky to have someone like you looking after them 🐾❤️

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow

I'm glad you made it safely home.

I think taking a few days for yourself is totally understandable.

Talk soon 💕

Re: My Mosaic

Just tried to have a nap @Snowie but don’t think I slept. Dog barking, tv on in the lounge room and head going loud, so I got up.

ill go down a start unpacking shortly I think

Re: My Mosaic

I find it hard to nap during the day @Bow I guess at least you got a rest.

Unfortunately unpacking is needed when getting home. Hard to start.

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah I don’t usually nap during the day either @Snowie just can’t switch off enough. I have my second sleep study on Friday night and all day Saturday… it will be interesting.

yeah, most of our stuff is downstairs in the garage, just have our overnight bag with all the essentials in it. I just can’t be bothered today. And my stomach is giving me grief too

Re: My Mosaic

It is hard to switch off @Bow

Hopefully they get something out of the sleep study that can help you. Is it one that's done at home?

Guess there is no urgency with unpacking everything.

Is D back at school tomorrow?

Re: My Mosaic

No this one is done at a private clinic @Snowie they are testing for narcolepsy, which I’m certain that I don’t have, but dr wanted to tick the box I guess. Not costing me anything. I do like the usual overnight sleep study and then once up and had breakfast they do these short nap opportunities where you go back to bed for 1/2hr every hour is so throughout the day. Doesn’t finish until 3pm!

no they have a student free day tomorrow, back Tuesday. She will hate it cause we need to go grocery shopping!

apart from ECT Wednesday do you have much on?

Re: My Mosaic

I guess ruling it out is a good choice @Bow

Have psych tomorrow, gp Tues too so busy start to the week. Oh I don't blame D! Have to fit in grocery shopping too.

I really do wish that Aldi had home delivery.

Do you have new pdoc this week?

In response to: My Mosaic

Re: My Mosaic

That does sound like a busy start to the week @Snowie

oh it would be amazing if aldi did home delivery! I know they have something on DoorDash but I don’t know how that works. We were nearly gonna stop in at some aldis along the way to see if they have any green cordial. It’s the only cordial my D will eat and they seem to not be stocking it at any of our local stores. Not even a spot where it would be anymore. I tried to pour a different brand green cordial into an aldi bottle but nope! She could tell 🤦🏼‍♀️ it did mean that she didn’t drink much for a few days while away but she kinda took a liking to the cordial I drink, hopefully she will keep drinking it cause she doesn’t drink enough.

When I visited with my cousin in tassie, I found out one of her daughters is she same.

yeah new pdoc appointment on Tuesday. I think I’m going to send my old SW a text and ask if she would be available to come with me. I don’t want my current one. I don’t see the point. She doesn’t know me, and she’s not going to be my SW for much longer. If my old one can’t come I’ll just have to go by myself. My current one was off 2 days last week, I honestly don’t see how they can keep someone on who is off sick so much.

Re: My Mosaic

Is a busy start to the week @Bow I'm not sure if I'm looking forward or dreading my psych appt. So much to discuss.

Somehow kids know when something changes food/drink wise. They can just tell. My D used to love a special brand of biscuits then they must have changed the recipe. She could tell straight away!

It would be good if your old SW could go with you. Would make it much easier to go to the appt. in the first place. I hope this pdoc is nice. I really hope they stick around for you.

Your SW does seem to be away sick a lot. Must have used up all of their sick days by now.
