My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Was so good being back in my own bed last night. As soon as I got in ahhh.

but I woke numerous times though to nightmares.

and I woke with a headache

mums got her hustle on. Unpacking, washing, fluffing around the place. But I don’t want to. She makes me feel guilty

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow

I'm glad you were able to be back in your own bed, even though it sounds like the nightmares and headache made for a rough night's sleep

It also sounds like you're feeling a bit of pressure seeing your mum busy around the house. Just because she has the energy today doesn't mean you have to be on the same pace. It's okay to listen to what your body needs and take things gently 💛

Re: My Mosaic

thanks @Nala2022 I honestly just need a day being horizontal, either on the couch or in bed. And my cat has curled up next to me so I can’t really move anyways, can’t disturb him.

Re: My Mosaic

I feel you @Bow. Sometimes you just need a quiet day to rest, whether that’s curled up on the couch or in bed, watching a movie, a good series, or just letting yourself recharge

I hope your cat is bringing you some comfort today. What’s his name? I have a cat too, her name is Nala, which is where my username comes from (plus her birthday 😊)

Re: My Mosaic

I've never watched that before, I'll have to look it up @Bow

Aww I love the name Groot! Sounds like he’s got the right idea getting his daily dose of sunshine. Nala does the same thing, she loves finding a sunny spot to sunbake too 😊

Re: My Mosaic

I’ve never watched the original series @Nala2022 but I’m loving this and hoping they do many more seasons!

Groot and our dog Lulu often chase the sun through our dining and living rooms, falling asleep in one spot and then getting up and moving when the sun moves.

back to the mundane tomorrow. Pdoc appointment on Tuesday- another new pdoc- 5th one this year 😩 and then incoming new support worker just not sure when that’s gonna happen.

what do you do in your other time nala?

Re: My Mosaic

I looked it up, and it actually sounds like something I’d enjoy watching too @Bow 😊

Haha that’s so cute! Cats and dogs really do love the warmth.

Wow, a 5th pdoc this year 😩 I hope Tuesday goes okay for you

Hopefully you hear more about your new support worker soon too. How are you feeling about meeting someone new?

In my spare time I’m honestly a bit of an introvert most days 😂 I love reading, watching movies or series, and I’m a bit of a gamer too. I do enjoy getting out and about, catching up with friends, exploring new places, and I love little getaways when I can 😊

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Re: My Mosaic

I think I would feel better if I had a support person in with me for my pdoc appointment that I felt comfortable with and trusted @Nala2022 I have an interim case manager who I’ve seen once, so no trust there. And then my current support worker I do not like, do not trust and do not feel comfortable with. I think it’s either someone I trust and feel comfortable to be honest and vulnerable in front of, or no one. I’ll just attend the appointment by myself- no ideal.

I really do not cope with new people. I’ve not long had this current support worker. And I tried to fight to not have to have a change, they just like to shift everyone around which just makes zero sense to me. I need consistency, predictability, continuity of care. Trust is gone. Safety has gone. I won’t go into my big speech about it, but I definitely made my voice heard which in end got me nowhere. So I actually shouldn’t be getting a new one now but as of the 1st July they had a new tender which has resulted in a complete reshuffle of the whole organization. Offices moved. Staff moved. My current SW is doing a slow transition to a different office cause she is a PSW so I don’t know when I get my new one, it all kinda came into affect the day we left for tassie.

Oh I’m most definitely am an introvert too! But I do like your hobbies and such.

I do a lot of craft stuff. I like to art journal, I sell some art pieces at a market too, I’ll pretty much dabble in all sorts of arts and crafts. Love upcycling and painting furniture. Love Lego! Oh and I foster kittens and cats. 🐈 ready for my next lot actually.
