Darkness

I had about 4 hours sleep @Lee82 - was not the best of nights but not feeling too bad this morning. I have more painting to finish then I can start putting all the kids art work together. I also want to mow the front and back lawns as we are expecting rain for much of the next week.

Cat is at the vet now awaiting her ultrasound and Tobes is asleep on the doona on the couch next to me. The are both so precious 😺🐶

Do you have any plans for today?

Good morning @Anastasia I am so very sorry you didn't get much sleeo hun but completely understand why you couldn't sleep. I am so glad you decided to take the day off work. I hope you can use this opportunity to self care hun and look after you.

wow you have a pretty full on day today hun I hope you are able to fit In Some time for you too.
I don't have plans today. Not feeling safe enough to go out. 😕 so just another day at home doing a few things around the house.

Cat is having an ultrasound on her tummy @Lee82 She had a major operation last year and we do regular ultrasounds to make sure the cancer has not come back. The last one was all clear and if this one is too then we won't need to do another one for 12 months.

keeping busy is important for me at the moment - especially getting all the school stuff done. I am planning on having some time to myself next week - maybe take Tobes for a drive somewhere (weather dependant).

It sounds like you need to be at home Hon but it is also good to recognise that is where you are feeling safest at the moment.

that's true staying busy is a good thing hun and I know you are very good at recognising when you need to self care and taking care of you.
yea it's ok for me to stay home cause that's where I feel safe but when you have 2 very bored boys stuck at home with you it just makes things ten times worse. Makes you feel like the worst mum in the world and just highlights just how bad things are right now.

Just had a call from the vet @Lee82 Cat won't let them touch her so she needs to be sedated - I strongly suspected that would be the case. It will only be a short sedation - just enough for them to do the ultrasound and then put her back in a cage to wake up. Hopefully that means they are going to do it straight away and I can pick her up soon though.

Very much hearing you about being home with your boys Hon. I know what the kids at school are like when it is wet weather and can't go out (we have a majority of boys in our class). Try not to be hard on yorself though Lee - do you have some boxes laying around that the boys could make a bridge out of and see how many books it could hold?
