Something’s not right

Darkness

Darkness

Well it's been a hellish few weeks, I have fallen into the rabbit hole and there seems no escape this time. The darkness has come and it thicker than the fires of hell.

Things just don't seem to going right at all and my MH is just getting worse and worse. Not sleeping (afraid to sleep) not eating and not taking my meds. I know this doesn't help but why bother because when I am on them I either feel zone out or that they do nothing anyways. I didn't make it work today, got to the front and was physically sick and froze again. Crawled back into bed where I stayed untill I had an unexpected call.

My 3 main MH professional and I in a conference call, at the end of the call I was given a choice be sectioned or have my ex move back in temporarily to provide around the clock monitoring, this means for at least two weeks of him being here making sure I eat, take my meds and be present for all appointments and no SH. I am not happy about either option but because of teenager trauma in a MH hospital I am taking the ex.

I will not be as active as normal but I will check in. but like tonight, I may just support posts as I am struggling to even type this. So @Snowie @eth @Lee82 @Eden1919 @Purplerain @Lotusgirl amd anyone I missed I will be getting the care I need and will be safe. To some of the newest forum members please forgive me if it takes a bit for me to get back to you.

Re: Darkness

Hey @Zoe7 thank you so much for your message last night. I'm so sorry I didn't reply. I was having a pretty bad moment and couldn't bring myself to talk anymore. What you said about my son and remote learning is very true. I just put too much pressure on myself.
At the moment i am feeling very lost and like I am frozen in time. Everyday seems to be the same thing and it's just overwhelming. I don't know what to do anymore. My kids are at their dads again this weekend and I have to spend the weekend at mums which I am dreading so very much. 😔😔

Re: Darkness

Hey beautiful. So sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I have had a pretty crappy day.
How has your day been in your paint today? I'm so sorry you couldn't go and see D1 and granddaughter today babe. That must have been a hard decision to make. You have zero reason to feel guilty babe. You are just not in the right frame of mind and you did the right thing by looking after your needs for once.
please don't apologise for not being around last night I completely understand that it's just very difficult for you to here a lot lately.
love you to the end of the world nikki. ❤️

Re: Darkness

There is absolutely no worry at all about you not replying last night Hon - one thing we learn about the forum is that a reply is not always instant nor is it often needed @Lee82 'Life' often gets in the way of conversations here in many ways and although I am sad that you were not doing well it is great to see you here today

That overwhelming, lost, frozen in time feeling is not uncommon - been there a lot myself and it is not a nice place - everything in our lives seems to be insummountable and all consuming. Do not place any extra pressure on yourself Hon - getting through each day bit by bit is all that you need to do whilst you are feeling like this. Take baby steps in doing what you can and see them as achievements in your day - focus on those positives because the more of them you have the easier it is to get through the day. Do not let the negatives rule your thinking (as hard as that is it does get easier with practice).

I know how difficult it will be having to stay at your mum's - but it is just 2 days and you can get through it. Do some nice things for yourself whilst you are there to counteract the inevitable emotional toll it will take on you - you cannot control what she will say or do but you can control your longer term reactions to that. Address your feelings as valid, sit through them and then do something nice for yourself to find those positive moments. Will you have Boris with you or will he be left at your place? Toby hugs for me work best when I am not feeling okay - it is amazing how much love we can feel from our fur babies and how much they can help settle our thinking when we concetrate on actually feeling that love.

Re: Darkness

I will have to leave him home alone for the weekend but I check in on him and take him for a walk everyday. At least that is some time on my own.

OK today, thank you, @Lee82 ...

Am hoping that you can rest heaps at your mother's this weekend...would be great if you could sleep all weekend, but I know sleep is elusive at the moment 😞 Maybe resting and distraction with movies or something will help the fact that you have to stay there...

Re: Darkness

That is good @Lee82 That alone time will be great - as will be the walk - enjoy the fresh air and time with Boris. I will give Tobes a hug from you. He has just finished his dinner so is settling in on the couch to sleep. Cat has had hers as well and is cleaning herself near the heater. They are such little treasures 🐶😺

I am okay. Been really tough lately and I have been feeling exhausted and unwell since last week. That often happens at the beginning of the holidays - when we stop it catches up on us so not unexpected but frustrating. Feeling a ittle better this afternoon - both nausea and headache much lower but still need to take cre of myself.

Re: Darkness

@NatureLover I'm hoping I can do a bit of rest at mums too as I am still really sick with a head cold. It's been about 10 days now that I have had this cold and it won't go away. My Covid results came back negative which is good.
glad to hear you have had an ok day today hun.

Re: Darkness

Yea unfortunately when we stop and rest is when we get sick @Zoe7. I hope you feel better soon hun. You still have one more week of school holidays don't you?

Re: Darkness

Bugger, am sorry to hear you're still sick @Lee82 . A relief though that it's not Covid. Yeah, resting on your weekend sounds good 👍
