Numb again

I have tried contacting online support but everything is unavailable or offline .

I was raped 7 years ago and things happen so I made myself numb and supprised everything. I learned about the breathing techniques as well as the 5,4,3,2,1 tool. Tonight it's not working . I am having flash backs like crazy and I can't get my mind and body to calm down to relax and sleep . At this stage I am in for a night of night terrors and I can't do that again tonight. I am shutting down again but not sure how to stop it .

The best Mother's day present I could have is the fact I still have Cat and she is healthy and happy - every single day I have her for is a bonus 😺 ...and of course Tobes is the light of my life so I am doubly blessed @Pollyotter

I totally agree with all you just wrote - remembering that always and treating ourselves with that kindness often gets lost when we are in pain (physical and/or emotional). Be kind to yourself Hon - you are more than your past and more than your experiences - they may make us who we are but they do not define us - it is what we do with our experiences that matter and how we use those to be our authentic selves. Just do be You Hon as that is all that you need to do.
