@Lee82 I was where you are at (in fact a lot worse) nearly 4 years ago. I had no hope for a future and didn't care about anything. My days (and nights) were simply a matter of surviving and that was really difficult on most days. Over the proceding years I went through a lot of medications, therapies and and extremely difficult times - several suicide attempts (obviously failed), pushing people away (even Toby), not wanting to do anything, be anywhere or fight my way out of it. Over that time nobody here gave up on me nor did my offline supports. They all held onto hope that one day things would progressively get better and I could see tht hope myself. It was because of that amazing support from everyone - GP, psych, pdoc, community managers, mods and above all fellow members that I not only got through it but could find my way back to some kind of life worth living. I am now back at work fulltime, I love my fur babies unconditionally and I have even taken steps (before iso) to attend sporting events, reconnect with my sister and gone to social events for work - none of that seemed at all possible and moreso I didn't care.
What I see with you Hon is you do care and you do have things you want to do. It is incredibly tough right now to see past the day you are in but if I can do it then I have faith you can too. It is by no means easy but it also has to be you that does it. We can have all the support in the world but if we do not and cannot see past the present darkness we are in then we also cannot pull ourselves back up. No matter what life has thrown us before and what challenges we find ourselves having - the most important thing is to recognise that today ...this day is all we have and all we need to get through ...tomorrow will take care of itself when it comes and the past cannot be changed. In order to move forward we need to accept that although life has thrown us soooo many challenges, so much hurt and so much pain - it does not define us. We are more than our trauma, we are more than our past and we are more than our mental health - we are whole, loving, caring and capable people who can achieve anything if we both believe and work towards our own hope for a better future.
@Pollyotter @Former-Member the above is for you both as well 💖💖💖
