Numb again

I have tried contacting online support but everything is unavailable or offline .

I was raped 7 years ago and things happen so I made myself numb and supprised everything. I learned about the breathing techniques as well as the 5,4,3,2,1 tool. Tonight it's not working . I am having flash backs like crazy and I can't get my mind and body to calm down to relax and sleep . At this stage I am in for a night of night terrors and I can't do that again tonight. I am shutting down again but not sure how to stop it .

I am so sorry @Pollyotter I fell asleep again. More than happy to talk about other things with you Hon

The walls and ceiling are all ready to do another coat. If I can get that done today then it will mean only 1 more coat is needed on the ceiling and I can begin painting all the trims. That will take time because it is fiddly work. I will do the biggest wall first though so I can move some of the furniture back.

Toby is asleep on top of the cushion on the couch. He loves it there. I have one of his blankets there for him so he is comfortable.

Never apologize over sleep. Heaven knows is a rare item.

Sounds like you have a plan sorted and ready to go . Trim is abit of a time takes isn't it. In my old house the trim was carved out by hand it was roses with alot of detail to it

Oh wow how gorgeous was that trim in your old house @Pollyotter That would have been stunning and would have taken so long to do. I have an area in front om the old fireplace where I have pulled up the bricks that acting as a hearth. I am going to fill it will lightened cement that is the same colour as what I used for the in between the bricks in the wall (I re-layed the entire wall) - then I am going to etch in a design - I haven't worked out what that design will be yet but it will include butterflies.

Tobes has moved to the doona on the couch now but is still laying on his back with his little legs spead out - he really is so adorable.

Sounds like you have a good eye for renovation.i can just imagine what it will look like when you are done .
I do miss my old house but the new owner looks after it well so no worries there .

Toby has the right idea there. I am wrapped in a quilt watching very old movies while it's raining out

I actually enjoy the renovations @Pollyotter but this time it will be nice to have it finally finished.

The fireplace took a long time to do as I had to re-lay all the bricks bit by bit without actually pulling it all down to begin with. There were spots jacked up for sometime. I built in a shelf for the tv and an arched entrance a bit smaller than the original fireplace to house the set top box and foxtel box. I also still have an old video recorder thn I still use.

Half the ceiling done - half to go!
