Numb again

Numb again

I have tried contacting online support but everything is unavailable or offline .

I was raped 7 years ago and things happen so I made myself numb and supprised everything. I learned about the breathing techniques as well as the 5,4,3,2,1 tool. Tonight it's not working . I am having flash backs like crazy and I can't get my mind and body to calm down to relax and sleep . At this stage I am in for a night of night terrors and I can't do that again tonight. I am shutting down again but not sure how to stop it .

Re: Numb again

It has certainly been a bigger job than I first anticipated but it is a very old house (1920s) so nothing is square, a lot of cracks, the last paint job seemed to have been done over the top of what was already there (which I have found out is oil based) and there are a lot of edges and trims to do too. I do love my little house though @Pollyotter I fell in love with it the moment I walked through the door and made an offer on it straight away. It is perfect for me, Toby and Cat - the backyard is fully enclosed so they can wander around as much as they like. We are all very happy here

I've been to a few games - one in Brisbane and a couple when they have played in Tassie. I am also a member so am quite connected to the club. It would be cool if you could go to some games. Do you have anyone you could go with that could explain some of the rules as well?

I love old-school homes . So much history and such a story to tell . It dose come with the downside with age and the materials used in it. As long as you guys are happy there then that is great.

Uhm someone to explain the rules ... No I have a better shot at becoming a grandmother with Charlie Chaplins child . My family isn't bothered by sports

hahaha @Pollyotter "a better shot at becoming a grandmother with Charlie Chaplins child" - that made me giggle - at least the child would be quiet lol

What kind of things do you like to do? Hobbies, interests? I of course love sport but also art/craft. I paint (actual pictures not just the house ) and love papier mache. Taking Toby to the beach or doing a small walk on the bush track nearby with him gives me the most pleasure - basically anything with Tobes makes me happy.

I have just finished scraping and plastering the ceiling patches @Pollyotter - it didn't need sanding so now just need to wait for it to dry - then give it a light sand and paint - and hope for no more bubbles!

Hobbies / interests

Eeks well anything to do with a dog is good.
Baking and making food.
I enjoy working in a herb garden as I love using herbs where possible.
I love watching series with a bunch of junk food and stand up comedy is a big one in my eyes .
I like learning stuff too. I got a Dan Brown book so I can better my English as it is still very basic and bad

Re: Numb again

I think your English is great already @Pollyotter You would never know you struggle with it sometimes.

I loved the Gilmore Girls - they portrayed a great mother-daughter relationship. It gives me a better picture of you also. 👍

I have a small herb garden but it is pretty neglected - needs some love and care but won't take much to bring back to life again.

I am going to have to head off for a while - feeling really tired again so am going to try for some more sleep - that way I can paint again later tonight. Will check in with you later. Enjoy the rest of your afternoon and I hope you get some more done outside.
