Numb again

I have tried contacting online support but everything is unavailable or offline .

I was raped 7 years ago and things happen so I made myself numb and supprised everything. I learned about the breathing techniques as well as the 5,4,3,2,1 tool. Tonight it's not working . I am having flash backs like crazy and I can't get my mind and body to calm down to relax and sleep . At this stage I am in for a night of night terrors and I can't do that again tonight. I am shutting down again but not sure how to stop it .

Oh wow you are busy @Pollyotter It is too cold and wet here to get outside - something I am also hoping to get to this week. My lawns need mowing and I have some grass seed to patch some areas. The garden also needs weeding but it is a small garden so won't take long. I also need a clear day to spray some weeds and paint some anti-slip stuff on my front path. I slipped on it in my second week back at work and hurt my back so was off all week. Hopefully the anti-slep stuff will help.

Tobes is happily asleep next to me on the doona but he my have to be moved soon so I can have another nap.

I do prefer working outside then inside . But yhe I get it's too cold. I still have to get used to the weather here . It's still strange for me . Jikes paint that anti slip please . Can't have your house a hazard. Besides who will keep the fur kids busy and happy . Hahaha I hope you win the fight for the doona

In what state do you live @Pollyotter and where did you live before? (Country and state only - no specifics as per our community guidelines). I am in the south of Tassie.

I thought you might have originally been from South Africa but did not want to presume @Pollyotter I know you don't follow sport but my AFL team is Brisbane Lions I am a mad footy fan (amongst many other sports) so very much missing not having any sport on at the moment.

I don't follow much sports but that is only because I do not know it.
I can just imagine how it must be not having any of the sports available

I really enjoy the English crime dramas so have been watching a lot of those @Pollyotter It has replaced sport for now - and I have found I am not missing it as much as I thought I would - but it would be nice to have some back. Work was super hectic too before the holidays so that took up so much of my time - and it will be that way again when we go back so after I finish the loungeroom I will be sorting things out for work. Luckily I have a week left so whilst there is no urgency I would like to be able to get to the school work sooner rather than later so I can take my time.

There is noting as satisfied as a project at the end and well done too.

I wouldn't mind going to a match or two after this madness.
