Re: Sleeping too much

Tab made a few blunt but general and probably misinterpreted, addressed to no one in particular posts last night. People complained. Am laying low fot a bit. Best to stay away from certain threads and convs. for me. Nothing to be gained by even reading it let alone replying. Anyway irl bit paranoid, depressed, trying to work out yet another 'rebuild' plan 😀 Hope you are okay. Have stopped email notifications and not reading threads. Will reply to tags tho😀

Re: Sleeping too much

Oh dear, soz @TAB, 'laying low' works for me. Your 'tabby cat' does have a playful side that scratches bruises sometimes. Don't take it too much to heart. Soz 'black dog' has moved in - its no wonder with the pain you're in, tabs you're on, isolation, work situation... Try not to withdraw too much. Be gentle on yourself, lots of fav meals and happy thoughts - hand to task hobby maybe. Like lapidary or wood carving... Here's a bear hug 🐨 rest up 😴

Re: Sleeping too much

Hi @Former-Member@Former-Member@TAB

Lay low on the bad days - and sleep all you can - you did okay ringing the police - throwing something out of a car and hitting a pedestrian is an offence Tab - you didn't need that - ah - the way some people behave - I feel that myself

Bella - I decidedto go back to sleep- so it was still dark when I took my medication and had an Anzac biscuit to stop it from causing reflux - and I woke up at 9.00am and thought about things for a while and then it was 10.00am and I read for a while and then it was 11.00am so I decided I should get up - well - my back had stopped aching so it was okay to get up but getting the demented feline off me was harder

Tawney - this is the time of year my own black dog gets up on its back legs and lets me know that knowing my son went to prison after Easter 1986 is not just a memory but it grows wings and sprouts whiskers in my head and gets big and horrible - I don't have to look - as Decadian I joined this site a year ago today and that was just after Easter -

It's going to get me one way or the other - it's more than memories - it's a whole pattern of feelings that stays underground most of the time - maybe it's the change in the weather - maybe it's that the autumn has arrived - whatever - I feel down-in-the-dumpsy today and wish this would all go away

But it won't - the years have taught me I can live with it - and thinking about my son's troubled life - I know that this is something that I have had inside me for a long time and that it is something that leaves for a while in the summer

Gotta think about going away again - I don't know where right now - Hobart - yes - good idea but I these elderly relatives there and don't feel like that today - back to Lakes Entrance - that is not a bad idea

I am sure I will survive it - it's not even depression - just a sad and miserable down-in-the-dumpsies that will probably wear off

It had better or I will leave my loud and bossy cat behind again for a few days

Dec

Re: Sleeping too much

Oh @Owlunar, sorry you're feeling so flat, its a shame anniversary dates paralyse us like they do. Those unaware think its ONE DAY but I know its 'the lead up to' that's the hardest and then there's the slow bouncing back. Its so hard and I understand. Going away somewhere nice sounds like a great idea. Would you consider a group tour trip? More distractions and company. Have you done 'The Ghan' There's a lot of colour around in autumn re trees.
My Brisbane friends grandson is going down the same path as your not did. In and out of juvenile detention sinceche was 11 and now he's 17 its worse with drugs (ice) and violence. They keep letting him out - its not looking good for him. The whole family have rejected him after what he did recently to a sister. Its just awful and nobody knows why he's gone so bad as the other 9 children are OK.

Some things we just don't / wont understand until we enter 'the fullness of knowledge' in heaven. Its hard not to keep belting ourselves up when a child in our care dies. We forget all the times we did save their lives, why do we get stuck on the last days. Its so hard to let it go. My Dr reminds me "it was sctrahic tragic accident & not your fault" but I think its a 'parent' thing, the 'unfinished love' it shouldn't define us but it does. I keep looking for what God can teach me through it - for out eternal growth.

Betta go plug phone in. You hang in there Dec. Throw a 'Flower on the Water' for him (river). Did you read about the CF 'Walk To Remember' I attended on the werkend? Even my son came. It was beautiful - walking with others on the same boat. You're not alone Dec xox (little bearhug 🐨)
