@Former-MemberI think that iyour psycholgist has the idea ... People are not comfortable with death .. and that is fine .. we do not really want them to be ... in the meantime ... we get to struggle with our grief alone.
So glad you will be going with your son on the walk of remembrance ... yes it wll be good for him ... good for him to take the steps in his own shoes ... walking with his mum ... remembering his sister ... not letting it detract from HIS life ... and seeing lots of other people .. on the walk too ... maybe sharing some of their stories .. gently with respect.

Just cooked up the beef stroganoff prepped to do for my son (but he insisted on fish & chips takeaway and a movie), something we did every fortnight as a family which I only just realised why he may have wanted that. Something stable. Did I tell you he made me a cup of the first thing in the morning? These are things that haven't changed, and he's going through another loss (5yr defacto) and one thing we need is to touch base with family and things that haven't changed. Anyway, I had yum late lunch and froze 3meals. Maybe take them to him when I go next week.
@Appleblossom thanks, I am so chuffed my son, her brother, is willing to come for a walk to remember her with me next weekend. Does Melbourne Compassionate Friends to anything like this you can do for your siblings?
