Re: Sleeping too much
Thanks Appleblossom, I think only here on the forums people actually 'get' how difficult has been for me and affirm encouraging NOTICING I've come a long way. Thank you. There is a difference I guess.
I know what you mean by finally being able to 'be light & detatched' but also warm and 'honest' with people during confronting cobversation. No anger or fear, just being. Its a wonderful place actually (if only they knew). Very considerate of you to not bring your story to the table and lower the party atmosphere. Death does that, especially sudden loss like ours.
My psychologist bought this up last session saying "you'd be hard pressed" finding someone to sit comfortable with it" Why i asked in protest - "it frightens people" she said... Seems in our society we run away from death and anything connected to it. Any wonder so many of us struggle coping with grief - the isolation is deafening, a silent rejection, shunning, as childish as playground politics come to think of it. Keep finding ways to make it work I guess, as you have dine - become the bigger person.
Hey, just realised I've been here on the forums one year now 🎇🎉🎊🎆 Do I get a certificate of something 😀 lol
Maybe take a holiday - I'm inspired (by Dec), that its OK to have a holiday alone, so trying to save up to just do it! I have wanted to sleep by the beach and listen to the waves crashing all night. If anyone knows a place like that, so close to the beach, near the Qld/NSW boarder - do let me know.
Looks / feels like heavy rain on the way here, gonna set in me think. There's an ierry eairy eeary eerie (can't find spelling), feel in the atmosphere here, and the neighbourhood dogs have been restless all morning. Wish I was up to cleaning out the house gutters myself. Must go empty the bucket in the sunroom that's full from the lady leak. Wish I could get up there and sort that one out too. Oh well, thank goodness its not often.
Hmm, had me breakfast, betta get up & do something. xox

Re: Sleeping too much
Hi @Former-Member
800 means 800 pages on your Sleeping too much Thread - wow - that's a lot of comments
It's easy to take a holiday alone - but where up on the north east coast I don't know. On the NSW/Vic coast there is Mallacoota - that's a nice place but perhaps you would need to hire a van - and then nearer to you there is Noosa Heads and Palm Beach - but I haven't been to either of them.
It's a good idea to put your thoughts into Google and get the Sattelite pictures -
I used to travel alone when I was driving - all over Victoria and Tasmania - alone - and stayed overnight in a lot of places - 2 weeks in Tassie, 3 nights at Cradle Mountain - but it snowed the whole time and I didn't see the mountain. Sometimes I would stay in one place for a few nights - other times I would cruise for days and just stay overnight
For years I didn't travel - but I have been to Launceston in 2015, last year Canberra and this year Lakes Entrance - planning on going to Hobart to see my rellies when I have recovered from this trip
Travelling alone is fine - there are a few hints for safety I would tell you before you travel - but you don't have to keep up with other people - which I couldn't do - wouldn't want to do - but people travelling love to chat - and there is no commitment - it's amazing how you have a life-long friendship for the length of a train ride
Great idea Tawns
Dec
