Re: Sleeping too much
Hi xxx here I am online to this that and every other help service briefly today and each of the refer me to GP to get Psych counselling, then I realised - I already have you, maybe I don't have to wait to see you face to face (like the last psych imposed) and tell you I'm struggling more than usual.
I've had a lot of suicidal thoughts, more than usual since i last saw you not sure if its residue of the anniversaries and that 2wks with my parents but since a church ladies luncheon yesterday I just cried since and angry and my chest wanting to burst from them
So many triggering thoughts of defeat and rejection and hopelessness. I wish I never forced myself out.
I can't keep on like this and the futility of it all. Don't know what to do. Don't wanna be alone anymore.
I have Dr apt tomorrow re sleep study results, but what can she do to help me but refer me to you and here I am. What do I do? Just wait out till I see you (for 1hr) and then what?
It really is hopeless isn't it? Honestly? Hoping you don't think so.
Sincerely
Xxc

Hi @Former-Member .....
Home now and listening to you .... sorta hoping you're asleep for the fact that you have had another long, tiring day, and rest is a part of healing bruised emotions.
If you're awake, I'm here and happy to chat for a bit.
❤️

Oh geez @Former-Member
Living in a small town - yes people can be insular there - they like each other and know there own ways and can't face or deal with other people's issues because - being who they are and having small town mentality they find it hard
But you don't deserve that - at all - and you didn't deserve being abandoned anymore than I did - people can behave in any way they choose but - ouch - it hurts
Yes - life can be lonely if we are alone - but I learned a long time ago that loneliness doesn't bring people together - we can reach out and reach out to other lonely people - but unless we have something of personal or academic interest the contact doesn't last
It hurts yeah - to be the one who does all the reaching out - I have given up on that - and I don't know anyone from my past - except the people from the local churches I run into occasionally - and then there are people who greet me and I have to ask them who they are
And there is my dd and her family - but we see each other rarely - I get it with your son - my dd is much the same way I think
But seeing as people are who they are - and can we forgive being abandoned? Or can we get over it? Or whatever works?
I don't know - but I am alone - and it was Tuesday when I ran into a brick wall and sat and cried and made some phone calls and sent emails that returned because I had been given the wrong address - but effort got me the right email and I had a conversation with someone who gave me ideas - good ones -
But still - someone at Life Line asked me if I had anyone in my private life I could turn to at such a time and no - I don't - and this always feels bleak - which is why I cried
It gave me a massive headache
I know you are grieving for your girl and Compassionate Friends where you are now are not helpful it seems - a three month break for Christmas - three months!!!!!! [deleted comment] and not sharing contacts - not good
When I was looking for on-line contacts I found myself here in the Sane Forums - and I found other bereaved parents and siblings - it feels like home
Few things can be as devastating as being alone with our broken hearts Tawnz - after Tuesday being rough and a busy day yesterday I feel as if I have been away from the forum for months - but not so
Lots of hugs - you are lonely - I hear that - but I don't know what to suggest - it is so hard to reach out and not get responses
hugs though

Re: Sleeping too much
I think it's great that you reached out and wrote the email to your psychologist.
Could you follow that up this morning with a phone call - asking for an urgent earlier appointment?
I'm thinking of you. And sending you my love. ♥♥

Hi @oceangirl
I'm sorry I have taken such a long time to reply - I had a rotten day on Tuesday and a busy one yesterday and had to spend time recovering
Alas - it make it difficult to think up sensible replies
More importantly - about your Mum - I am sorry she's ill - but your visiting as much as you can and taking her things she needs will make such a difference -
It is a wonderful thing you are doing - I forget - or have you posted elsewhere - what happened that she got sick so quickly? - that was not good

Aw @Former-Member
It's not hopeless - I was where you were once - walking away from my family's crappy behaviour - getting divorced - which was a good thing - and my dd teenage stuff - very much like your son - and the church I was going to got uncomfortable - like - it was okay to be a manipulate front runner but grow and start making our own choices - no - that was not good
So I had a choice - and I went to another church I could go to - and seeing as they possible have a new minister I might see if they have more than one service a week - but as I wrote earlier
I get so tired of reaching out all the time - and I imagine you do too
Your church - your cried there - the Christian thing would be to ring you or drop in to see you - but alas - people are in a small community and have their set programmes - not challenged as we who live in the Big Smoke are - and - some people in small communities are suspicious of city-dwellers
It was said so well in Priscilla - Queen of the Desert - is the city there to keep us in or to keep them out?
Good point
You're not wrong because people behave this way Tawns - it's the way things are - and when you take walks in the country - how I would like that - live in the country? No - I like being near the infra-structure with it's amenities
What do you do when you are alone Tawns - I have my books, computer, piano and movies - and my cat - and days pass quickly and I love the evenings - I find being alone in the evenings peaceful -
But it took a long time to learn -
But what I sense is that you feel the need to share your life - and here you are. Whatever it is - it is hard to be alone with it
I really feel for you - Dec
