Well, I think it's really good that you hve stayed and had a first hand experience about how your family have managed with your parents.
And how much you have grown.
When I clean the bathroom I imagine that the people's home that it is can't clean and you are humble enough and strong enough to do what they can't do.
Your getting through.
Is there a way you can get your hands on that necklace with the purple stone and earrings ??

I tend to agree with @Appleblossom - damned if you do and damned if you don't and I feel like crying that you are still there
But I also think that I was visiting my parents years ago and mum said that is my sister didn't drop in they (she and Dad) would be terribly lonely - and I said "I will come every day if you would like me to"
She never replied and I was never invited and seeing as I had a life-time of being kicked out I was not prepared to go without being asked
I guess you know your story and your limits and your parents and you must have a much softer heart than I do -
When you head for your own home - after grabbing that necklace for your girl - send us messages about how you are going - and when you get home - let us know how you feel

The above is the necklace mum asked me if I knew a little girl to give it to. I've taken your advice and will secretly bury it by my girl. Perhaps its really what mum wants but can't say.
