Re: Sleeping too much
Hi @Faith-and-Hope
Thanks for explaining more of this Arthro ED your WH has - yes - I think I see the punitive side of his eating and exercise - like - no sesh - no meat - and if he loses weight he can eat spanakopita - something that looks and sounds pretty terrible to me - but then I eat my spinach raw and only the small leaves - I don't like it cooked
It's really hard to understand where the MI and bad behaviour starts and ends - difficult - and why he puts himself through this - and how much other people have to accomodate him - but then - you and your kids are hanging onto the good parts that are left - and wait for him to see that it is a problem and get that dx you so badly need
I supposed we all have our dislikes and really hates - I cannot stand cauliflour - the taste worse than repels me - but a friend had a dig at me that I was like a little kid taking the cauliflour out of my prepared meals and ditching it - I get three meals delivered each week - and they all taste pretty much the same - back to the story
I really can't stand cauliflour - it nearly makes me throw up - and I am an adult and I can have my oddities - they don't affect anyone else - but I rang the company that prepares these meals and now they don't put any cauliflour into my meals - and at least they don't taste like cauliflour
But thinking about it - where is the boundary? Where does it stop being a choice and start being a problem? I guess that point is when our health is at risk or what we do can impinge onto other people
How much longer will you be overseas? - it seems you have been there for a long long time. I know you thought things would be easier while you were travelling - but it must be very hard for you sharing a room with him
I honestly don't know how you do it - you do have love and faith and hope and patience and a lot of other good things as well - he doesn't know how lucky he is to have you
And I continue to wish you the best with all of that

Oh @Former-Member
Your Mum and Dad are not well and not coping and you live 1200km away and the drive alone is traumatic and your mother doesn't like your clothes- I guess that's what I read - and it sounds really hard
But my mother didn't like my clothes either - it's such a pain - but I agree with whoever it was said wearing dark coloured clothing is better - I have mostly dark colours and try to have them loose as well -
But how come it is you who is going to do all this driving - I would rather it was you if you were doing the visiting for me - than your TS - but that is a huge task to do every week and your health is not good and you pretty much have chronic pain as well as a lot of stress related disorders
It sounds too hard - my mother was being well cared for and my sister was doing all the POA stuff - and as my mother ordered me away I gave up - why put up with all of that nasty mouth.
You can be honest with me - but but in a few days it will be the second annivesary of Mum's passing, ah - she died - she left - whatever - and I have not felt not the least bit of guilt about not visiting her - but then - she was being well cared for
Whatever you do and whatever you wear and whoever you are and whether you have your Eleanor Rigby face - that's an expensive item - that face - it is fine with me - you have to do what's right for you
But it has to be right for you - maybe it's time for your oldies to go into care - it's so hard
I am sure there is something I did not read - care heaps Tawney - please look after yourself though

Hi @Former-Member
I see you have a new job - that was what I missed I guess
I have a clothing tantrum at times - I have enough to go on with but one thing I do not enjoy is fitting rooms
All the best - congrats etc - take it gently at first -
Work - that has to be the best thing - but I had better read back on some of the threads - I have lost track in the last couple of days

Re: Sleeping too much
First day new retail job went well today, Orientation, WHS, Manual Handling, Tour, forms, more forms, DVDs and more forms lol. At least the boss is nice. Busy day today. Really like working in shops. Bought great shoes - comfs - 50%staff discount - how cool is that! The boss brings her dog to work and ties her under her desk all day, weird but cite. Learned a lot about vignettes and colour blocking... Watched x3 dvd tutorials, and vdid I say forms? Just saying.my back got bad by 3pm so got sit down jobs (how good is that :)) resting up tonight ouch!
